Cody Landress-Gibson
Cody Landress-Gibson's alt-country sound was inspired by multiple factors, the first of which may have been growing up in Georgia and listening to the Top 40 country music that his parents were playing around the house. He later dove into the likes of folk singer/songwriters Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark. He released an EP called Beginner’s Luck in November of 2018, just a few months before talking to me for the podcast. We talked about his musical influences, got into the background for the songs on Beginner’s Luck, and Cody told me about some future projects he’s working on.  Check out Cody on instagram @thatcodylandressgibson for updates on what he’s up to, and listen to Beginner’s Luck on whatever streaming platform you listen to.

Rachel Baiman
About a year ago, I heard Rachel Baiman for the first time at the Teragram Ballroom. I was blown away by her and became an instant fan. One year later, I got to chat with her about life & music. Life is cool.

Adam Harpaz
Adam Harpaz is a lovely human and singer-songwriter located in Byron Bay, Australia. We chatted from across the sea about his life and music, despite some poor logistical planning on my part (time zones are hard!) and some brief technological issues. Check out his new EP, Don't Believe What They Say, to hear full versions of the songs included in this episode.  Website: www.adamharpaz.com Instagram: @adamharpaz

Terry Sowers of Light Fantastic
I got to talk to a super cool dude, the songwriter/singer/guitarist for the San Francisco based band Light Fantastic for this episode of Friends With My Favorite Musicians. We talked about his songwriting inspirations, how music can be an emotional release, balancing a full-time job with a career as a musician, and the juxtaposition of light and darkness that makes up Light Fantastic. Huge thanks to the band for letting me use several songs in this episode. Check out the full versions at https://lightfantasticband.bandcamp.com/ if ya like what ya hear (you will!)

Chatham Rabbits
I had the joy of talking with Sarah and Austin of Chatham Rabbits for the very first episode of FWMFM. They're a folk duo from North Carolina playing "original songs nodding to old-time traditions." We talked about how they landed on their sound, what they hope to inspire in the world with their music, and the importance of doing what you love. These two are a real as it gets. Watch out for their debut album, All I Want From You, this fall. Big thanks to Chatham Rabbits for letting me use clips of Chattanooga & Fourth of July in this episode. Go do your ears a favor and listen to the full versions on Spotify! Website: www.chathamrabbits.com Instagram: @chathamrabbits
