It’s not often you find someone with so many talented backgrounds as Gerry Dee but he’s just that, a modern day renaissance man. Actor, Comedian, Sports Reporter & Author. But the entertainment arena isn’t always where he hung his hat. In fact, he started out teaching for ten years before diving into comedy in 2003. He’s the proud recipient of many awards including Toronto’s Funniest New Comic Competition, The San Francisco International Comedy Competition, He’s won Best Comic in Canada at the Canadian Comedy Awards, Best Performance By an Actor in a comedic role for the 2013 Canadian Screen Awards and he also managed to squeeze in being the funniest sports reporter on The Score on his weekly segment. He finished third on the season 5 of Last Comic Standing, appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and has taped numerous comedy specials over the years. In January 2012, Gerry’s new sitcom Mr. D debuted on CBC to over 1.3 million viewers and was the highest rated scripted show to premier on their network in over seven years. It’s now in its fourth season.
