You have this awesome experience and become a Christian. And someone, a pastor comes and says Let me tell you about what just happened to you. Let me tell you about the Being that just touched you... and you blink and it’s 20 years later and that pastor dude is still telling you about this God dude still! That’s like crossing this beautiful girl and having a great conversation, maybe even a kiss and then someone interrupts and pulls you aside and says, “hey man, she’s pretty amazing right? Let me tell you about her.” You look back and she’s gone... many people just sit there and keep asking this dude about the girl and listen to stories... I’m like dude just tell me where I can bump into her again! I want to spend time with her! Is fear the best or only tool you use to get people or your children to obey you? There is no Fear in LOVE. If you are trying to “Scare” your children into obedience, this may not be the best approach. I heard a mother talking to a father and they were talking about different ways they scare their kids into behaving. The faces they make at them or the little “ hey! Don’t you get into that I’m going to bust your ass” I heard another father the other day talking about his kids grades and how he spoke to his young boys broke my heart. He was basically calling them failures for receiving a “C”. It was Fear and shame he was speaking into them that caught my attention. Fear can be a very effective “Tool” to make someone weaker or under our authority do something. It never works with people you don’t have power over. Fear is also very limited in its distance, when your child is out of range for your evil glare at them, how will you impose fear upon them then? Or when they move out of the house or off to college? Perfect Love casts out Fear, for there is NO FEAR in LOVE. Love love love is what should guide our children’s hearts and minds to operate out of Love. Cherishing their ownselves and everyone’s hearts around them. The Gospel is that God brought us into himself. We are in him he is in us. There is no separation. Nothing NOTHING can separate us from the Love of God. There’s even a scripture that says if you are in the depths of hell God is there with you. You can’t go anywhere he isn’t. You can’t hide or do anything to make him turn his back from you... Yet we see over and over in churches, first the Catholic Church but we Protestants do it as well, we set up separations between the people and God. We make “special” people to go in between us and God. Oh Teacher teach me about God. Or priest please forgive me of my sin how much do I owe you? The Catholic Church didn’t even let people read the Bible in their own language because they weren’t special enough or educated enough to understand the things of God. Protestants don’t do that, do they? Of course we do. I was in a church before where I had a decent sized “Dream” ministry starting and the other Leadership o the church shut it down because I hadn’t read the right books. I was also one of the main people that people went to to get prayed for at the front of the church, until I wasn’t allowed up there anymore because I refused to take the right classes to get certified. There was also a school that you had to pay lots of money to attend where the real God stuff was taught. There are seminaries you must go to to become a “Pastor” There are seats up front that you can’t sit in because they are for the anointed ones the pastors. The majority of the congregation sits there and learns from the few... The Religion or the Organized Church is always creating barriers or separation. Also you will hear people talk about reaching a “Next Level” or “Going Deeper” or having a “Greater anointing” things like this that make some “More Special” that create a them and us. Some who are thought of as “Closer” to God that others because of some Mystical Encounter they have had. Some travel around the Nation and World telling their story and receiving money from people. It’s Human nature to do this. To create separation to desire someone else to go before God for us... It happened with Moses in the beginning at the Mount. Did you know that it wasn’t Gods will for just Moses to come before him? Nope. He said everyone come to the Mount and I will meet with you all. When they did God seemed so scary to them that they were afraid thinking that God was going to be mean or hurt them. They said Moses you go talk to God. So God said we need to clear our image problem up lol let’s actual come in human form so people can once again see who and how we really are... So He sent Jesus it Emmanuel God with Us. And we get the Image of the Invisible God visible in Jesus. We see Jesus saying Let the little children or the least of you come be first. Everyone you didn’t value Jesus made an effort to embrace and exalt. He said you must become like these children if you are to know God. Simple. Love, Joy and Peace. The Kingdom of God which we try to make so complicated and distant, he said it’s “Right Here, it’s at Hand” We need another Revolution in the Church. You and You and You are the Representation or Ambassadors of Christ to everyone around you. You have been given The Mind of Christ, the Spirit of God and a new Heart. Why start another Church in Fresno? There are maybe 1,000’s of Churches here in Fresno. I don’t actually know. So why do I think we need at least one more? I love the Churches of Fresno! I think most are probably really good and meeting a lot a lot of needs in the community. That’s awesome! I hope they keep it up and expand! Yet in my understanding there’s not many, and there may be many I just don’t know about them, that go out and preach the Gospel or the Good news to those people out in our City that haven’t heard the Gospel. I’ve been gone working out of town for a few years so maybe things have changed. But three years ago when the Church that I was working with came to an “end” we were the only ones out there. In the Night Clubs, in the Bars, Strip Clubs, speaking to the Hookers and Drug Abusers. The only one reaching out and building Communities for the Tran Sexual Community. We had Weed Churches. Before it was all popular, before Homosexuality was “accepted” in the Church like it is more so nowadays but still not really. There are zero churches, to my Knowledge, going out among the people who don’t typically go to them at their church gatherings to preach the Good News. Let me continue to clarify by saying that the “Good News” I speak about isn’t telling people they are going to Hell if they don’t repent from their sins. I see that guy on the corner from time to time. Or the churches that come through one Sunday or Sat afternoon and pass out sandwiches and walk away feeling good about serving the homeless. Feeding the homeless is good, really good, don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that that’s bad, or not important. I’m just clarifying why I believe we need at least one Church to... Go into the Darkest places in our City and Shine Brightly! To reach out and not care about our reputation and love on the Outcasts. To be among the people in their places of gathering in their homes not just inviting them to our churches where they aren’t going to fit in many times or at least not right away. Lastly I don’t know of One Church that has a atmosphere of Awe in their Worship Services where people are more excited about staying afterwards for more prayer and worship than hurrying to eat to the local Resturant before the churchgoers crowd gets there...
