Angers' defensive tactics came under attack this week, so the podcast are here to dicuss the merits of Stephane Moulin's game plan. They then look at how it compares to Saint-Etienne's performance on Sunday in the derby against Lyon. Defending deep is fine, as long as there is a desire to attack. Then Monaco come under the microscope. They sit second, but are far from convincing this season - what has happened to the forward line. The first half of the season is over - Gazelec ended on a high, beating a low on confidence Lyon side - which should see the end of Hubert Fournier's time at OL. Marseille drew 1-1 away at Bordeaux. It may have saved Sagnol to keep Girondins great home record against OM alive. There were some positive signs though. The team then debate and pick their Team of the Season so far. PSG beat Lyon 5-1 and then draw Chelsea in the Champions League for the third consecutive year. The Parisians league form and Chelsea's indifference should make the French side favourites to advance. Lyon are in a bit of a mess and Hubert Fournier has been given a small vote of confidence. But will he be at Lyon come January. Champions League and Europa League draws are discussed and why Monaco are now hot favourites to finish 2nd. France Euro 2016 Draw and the decision to pick Clement Turpin as the French referee. Bordeaux fall 4-1 to Caen after their promising display against Liverpool. Patrice Garande's team played it perfectly and showed everything that has made them a success this season. Marseille and Monaco share six goals and show the rest of Ligue 1 how not to defend. Toulouse lean towards the youngsters to help them get out of trouble and Jean-Marc Furlan gets some stick for over using Benjamin Nivet. Montpellier exploit Lyon's awful defence and become Ligue 1's form team outside 1st place. Should we still worry about the coefficient, or just let the smaller teams have a go at Europe - it can't get any worse.
