Lew Dronenburg is the Window Guy
This is a repost of a conversation that I had with Lew Dronenburg. We sat down on 13 July 2017 to discuss his iconic window (public art) displays in the City of Frederick. I’m doing this because Lew has been putting together some interesting windows. I’m talking about the most recent shark display. Listen to Lew’s voice and learn more about his artistic window displays.

Sherman from Earthride and the band Freedomhawk
Far more than just your average slab of Sabbath groove and Iommi-powered riffing, there’s indeed something wicked about EARTHRIDE and it’s never been more well-exampled than on their third full-length, and first since Corrosion Of Conformity’s Mike Dean-produced ‘Vampire Circus’ in 2005. The featured song is Hacksaw Eyeball from the album Something Wicked. Check out the whole album by clicking on the Bandcamp link. Earthride on Bandcamp Emanating from the barrier dunes of Virginia, Freedom Hawk’s heavy riffs, rolling groove, and soulful guitar melodies to produce a sound that is distinctly their own. The trio’s brand of heavy rock capitalizes on the best of the heavy ‘70s, but presents a fuzzy take that’s modern and based around quality songwriting rather than style-over-substance retro posturing. The featured song is Blood Red Sky from the album Into Your Mind. Clink on the Freedom Hawk Bandcamp link to hear more. Freedom Hawk on Bandcamp
