Over the last couple of weeks we've been missing in action and it's partly due to COVID and partly due to the fact the pair of us have been pretty busy and there's not enough time in the day etc etc... This week Luke waffles on for a couple of minutes to explain why The NASP has been out of sync, which means it's basically 5 minutes of Luke making excuses! Anyway, next week we will be back with the usual format and podcast length.

In this weeks episode James runs solo as he waffles through a few news stories from the week. Hopefully with some value he touches on targeted ad delivery aswell as how the pingdemic is saving lives.

The future of sports marketing could be upon us with the new virtual adverts that will popping up on the side of football pitches. TV broadcasters are now able to adjust the advert that's seen by viewers depending on location! After diving down a rabbit hole talking about how virtual advertising might change the world. We take a quick trip to space to talk about how Richard Branson will pip Jeff Bezos in being the first onboard the first commercialised space flight.

Usually we spend our time on the podcast talking about news of the week and how our businesses are tracking but this week we went down a different route by having a conversation about a negotiation that we're currently in the middle of. Disclaimer - If you're looking for groundbreaking negotiation tips you will be pretty disappointed pretty quick. However, if you like awkward and uncomfortable conversations, this might be the podcast for you!

John McAfee famous for building McAfee anti-virus was found dead in his jail cell recently. The Entrepreneur was famous for selling his business for $100 million back in the 90's and going on a rampage by spending his money on Sex, Drugs & Guns After being discovered dead in his jail cell conspiracies have risen as to why he would have been killed. So we thought it would make sense to try and get to the bottom of this, in this weeks NASP.

Subconsciously this week we have slipped into talking about poor company culture. Some of you may have seen the open letter to Brewdog complaining about the 'Grow At All Costs' mentality. We take a look at the letter, the response from the Brewdog founders and also compare this environment to some other shocking places to work.

On June the 8th some of you may have noticed that your favourite websites were offline! A third of the internet was brought to it's knees due to a bug laying dormant in Fastly's codebase. This week we dive into what crashed the internet & how much that could have cost some of the companies relying on Fastly's Network. Our start-up of the week this week is a platform called the Giving Machine that have created an innovative way to help give more to charities across the UK.

It's with a heavy heart that we have to inform you.. We've been dumped... Mike has decided that he can't put up with the pair of us anymore.. Which says a lot about the calibre of this podcast. With no Mike this week James & I decided to try and talk about something we thought would be useful, so dive into Apple's new affiliate program, which might help you to make more money from your podcast.

Unfortunately this week there will be no episode of the NASP due to the fact that life has taken hold. We've unfortunately not managed to get together to get an episode recorded but we will return next week, it will be business as usual.

This week kicks off with the usual waffle, we cover off how Mike's getting on buying a house, his COVID vaccine and how his first face to face business meeting mainly revolved around Ice Cream sandwiches. When we do get stuck into the news we have an incredible story this week about how FIFA have created a virtual player 15 years after the death of Kiyan Prince in an attempt to raise awareness for knife crime.

Admittedly things are a bit all over the place this week but we put that down to the fact that it's our birthday... 1 whole year of the NASP! After the usual business chat we do get to some news and spend the majority of our time talking about how Steven Bartlett has become the youngest Entrepreneur to join Dragons Den.

This week you have to hang around until the end to get into the meat of the podcast. After our usual 20 minute warm of talking about Samwise scratching his nuts we talk about: - The Pod Cab, a taxi which allows you to record a podcast - A Hack which allows allow you to kick Chinese players off of online games - How Fishing boats have turned to Warships in the English channel

For those of you that tune in every week to hear us talk about pointless shit you're in for a treat this week as we spend the opening section of the podcast talking about how Luke looks like Adam Neumann - James looks like a bumblebee & Mike looks like Gollum. This week we have an abundance of news for you to get stuck into... Including Amazon's salons we also discuss the fact that MI5 have joined instagram, how you can have a Llama attend your wedding & at the end of this weeks episode Samwise does a special news speed round to catch you up on the weeks antics.

If you've not heard this weeks news story, then you must be living under a rock because it's been all over the news how the supermarket giants Aldi and M&S have been at loggerheads over Aldi's rip off 'Cuthbert The Caterpillar' cake. Aside from talking about the supermarket cake wars, we make a fantastic discovery about James and how he once took part in a talent contest.

Usually the plan is to talk about relevant business related news stories each week on the podcast but this week we spend most of our time airing our dirty laundry. Luke and James have handbags over the fact that James has thrown Luke under the bus but after we're done with that we talk about the moves that twitter have made to buy clubhouse.

A lot of people would claim that you don't get any value from the Not Another Startup Podcast, well this week all of that changes!!! Before we get into the news James shares his tips and techniques on how to secure investment if you're a start-up, whilst at the same time explaining why people are now referring to him as Mr President. After the hard hitting value we discuss how South Korea are launching a 'Smart Pole' street lighting system and how Microsoft have landed a $22 Billion Dollar contact to supply the US Army with holo lens technology.

At the start of this episode we struggle to hold it together and end up in hysterics over a conversation about Luke having a stand off with a group of 14-15 year olds. You will find it funny or annoying but either way, we hope it puts a smile on your face. We do manage to pull it together in time to talk about some news and discuss how Bill Gates is planning on launching chalk into the stratosphere to cool down the planet & how someone's had a bad day at work when they lost control of their container ship and blocked the Suez Canal

This weeks main news story focuses on the first digital-only art auction by Christie's auction house which hammered home a staggering $69 million (£50 million) for the artist Beeple. The art was sold as a non-fungible token (NFT) - the latest tech craze which has boomed in popularity in recent months. After scratching our heads trying to figure out what the F*** NFT's are we slow the pace down again by talking about the new Nintendo theme park that recently opened up in Japan.

As you may already know, we like to have a bit of a waffle before we get stuck into the news on this show and this week is no different. James opens up by sharing the anxiety he's starting to feel about integrating into society after over a year in isolation. We then throw James some more incredible inspiration for games that he could create this year, James shares his game idea with us which doesn't sit too well with Mike and we finish off by talking about how a Chinese state-sponsored group of hackers has found their way into the Microsoft Exchange servers.
