Since last four decades ULFA (United Liberation Front of Assam) has been a potent militant outfits of North East India. The Partition of India is one such regrettable tragedy that is not often talked about. Over 1.3 Million Indian soldiers fought as British empire Army in world war-1 out of which more than 75,000 were killed and 65,000 wounded. India was the first country outside Europe to send its troops for world war-1. In this episode I will discuss India’s contribution for allied forces in World war-1. Few of the battles which brave but untrained Indians fought and how it helped Allied forces in key theatres of war in France and Mesopotamia. I will also discuss the ramifications in social, economic and political sectors of India as a result of war.
