On this episode of the Food About Town podcast, I went to the Hungerford Building to record with David Lane from David Lane Design. In his leahter laden wrokshop, we talked our mutual love of Joe Bean, personal growth and did some whisky tasting to pass the time. This episode is brought to you by CurAte and our delivery this week on February 10th. Go to CurAteMeals.com to order by 5pm today to get your mystery meal for two right to your door and support small businesses in Rochester. Make sure to check out his website for fine leather goods and swing by the Hungerford for a wide range of interesting food and craft businesses especially as things start to open up for real. Really hope you head out to Hurd Orchards in Holley to grab some last minute holiday gifts. I’ll be driving there shortly! Stay safe, wear a mask and get your vaccine as soon as you are able. Be good to yourself and to those around you. F.A.T. Podcast Episode 125 – ROC Brewing
On this episode of the Food About Town podcast, Chris Spinelli from ROC Brewing came over to the studio to talk about the beginnings of ROC and where it is today , local beer and an overall great conversation. This episode is brought to you by Phrankly. Phrankly is working to make sourcing and distribution for restaurants, farms and specialty goods more transparent and change the way people find their food. I have been following ROC since their early days and a few of my friends and I were regulars for a couple years during the earlier days of Phrankly. They consistently have a solid selection of beer and diversity enough to keep you interested no matter how frequently you stop in. Please be advised that this interview is a bit dated but the conversation is still valid. Let me know if I need to add any other corrections based on anything that is time sensitive. If you enjoyed this episode please share this on social media or leave a review for the podcast on iTunes, Google Play, or Stitcher. Thanks!

As is somewhat typical, I hadn’t met him in person before he showed up and I was very happy with how the whole interview went. It’s always great when your expectations are met with people you love listening to. This was recorded around February and Black History Month but everything we covered is still is applicable now. Chris has spent a lot of effort highlighting Black owned restaurants around Rochester and you should definitely head out to check out somewhere new to you this weekend.  If you enjoyed this episode please share this on social media or leave a review for the podcast on iTunes, Google Play, or Stitcher.
