Zack Snyder's League of Drag Falcons
We heard the demands from the billions and billions of fans, and your cries are being answered TODAY! The four hour unencumbered vision is here for you! It's time to release Zack Snyder's FLAME ON! Wait, that's not what everyone has been talking about? Oh well, here's the theatrical version of Flame ON! for your listening pleasure! It's the month of March in the year 2021. We've made it past the milestone of one year from the start of lockdowns and have tackled the crisis of the coronavirus pandemic in a multitude of ways (or in the case of some states, barely paid it any mind) and the one thing that has been a constant in our lives has been Flame ON! The boys are back and excited to bring a brand new pop culture round up your way and this time they're digging into the much talked about, for better or worse, Zack Snyder's Justice League available exclusively on HBO Max as our first topic. Was it worth the time and money devoted to making it a reality? Was it a better and more cohesive story (spoiler alert - with four hours to tell a story, it better be more cohesive!)? The boys have opinions and they're not afraid to share them! After that, they hop on Redwing and fly over to Disney+ to discuss the first episode of the new Marvel TV series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. To close out the topics for the month, it's a trip across the pond to dissect the final half of Drag Race UK Season 2. What did the boys think of the crowned queen? Tune in to hear! Before signing off, it's a round of 1-UPs and some final shameless plugs!Sit back and get ready to FLAME ON! WandaVision with The Scarlet Bitch
Did you think you were the only magical gal in town? Well our very own Scarlet Bitch, Oral, is here to (re)introduce himself to you! WandaVision debuted on Disney+ in mid-January and changed the fabric of the MCU forever and now you'll get to hear the boys give their thoughts from inside the hex! From The Dick Van Dyke Show to Modern Family, Monica Rambeau to Agatha Harkness, Wanda to Vision, the team behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe had their work cut out for them when they announced a slate of new made for television shows starring characters that were almost never in the spotlight more than a few fleeting moments in most movies. In addition, a global pandemic made those plans even tougher to pull off. However, thanks to the work of an amazing cast and crew, the first outing from the television side of the MCU is a stunning homage to classic sitcoms and astonishing storylines that spanned decades of comics from West Coast Avengers to the solo series Scarlet Witch and The Vision. As everyone may know, our very own Oral is THE BIGGEST Scarlet Witch fan, and a review of the show would never happen without his presence, so we were ecstatic to be able to find the time to sit down with him to not only discuss what this show did right, but also point out some areas that maybe fell a little short (spoiler - Oral finds no fault in the show and disputes any notion to the contrary!) while also addressing how fan theories can go overboard and try to diminish the work even though none of those theories were promised from the source. To cap off our review, we throw out our own wild speculation and theories about where we want to see the characters and plot threads go from here!BE WARNED! There are spoilers galore, so if you haven't finished watching WandaVision, listen at your own peril! *evil witches cackle*Sit back and get ready to FLAME ON! Listen in as the boys dish the dirt and spill the tea on what they've been enjoying in the world of pop culture! The boys are back at the microphones in their respective time zones and ready to dish and gab. While the month of February has been a bit calmer (in the overall world), there was still plenty to chat about in the world of pop culture. Kicking off the round table discussion is the New York Times Presents docu-series episode, Framing Britney Spears, followed by a run down of announcements made at the Nintendo Direct presentation. After a short break for station identification, the boys tackle Marvel's King in Black series and the new Rorschach comic from DC written by the award winning Tom King and the second season of Netflix's glass blowing reality competition, Blown Away, because who doesn't like a good glory hole?
