Daniel: a man of principle in a time of change
The story of Daniel is about fear and pain. It's about overcoming the confines of your fear, walking through the furnace of pain, and becoming the person you were meant to be. Undertaking a journey of this nature means you stick your head above the parapet. You stop being one of the crowd. That makes you a target. How do you deal with that? The story of Daniel is about staying true to your values, no matter how bad things become. It's about building a reputation. It's about becoming a person of consequence, and the price you will need to pay to get there.

Gideon: a most unlikely Hero
As a scriptwriter, I've always loved stories of the underdog hero. The biblical story of Gideon is one of these: the guy everyone thinks is least likely to succeed, and who surprises everyone, not least himself, by stepping up to the plate. It's a story of a man struggling with low self-esteem, doubt and fear, who gradually finds the courage to embrace his destiny as the Deliverer of an oppressed people. The saying 'to put down a fleece' refers to someone who is so unsure of themselves that they constantly have to ask for confirmation that they are, in fact, up to the task. It comes from the story of Gideon, as told in the book of Judges in the Old Testament of the Bible. I recorded a retelling of the story as an audio file. It's about a 24 minute listen. No matter if you work for a company or if you're self-employed, this story will fire you up and give you the mojo to reach your goal!
