Readings, performances, and discussions from recent Kingston events

Broadcasted on Friday, November 1st, from 4-6pm ET on CFRC 101.9fm’s ‘finding a voice’ – In the first hour, from the September 21st ‘100 Thousand Poets for Change – Kingston’ event, you’ll hear readings by Chantel Lavoie and me, and a musical performance by Irwin. Following that, from an October 16th book launch event at Novel Idea Bookstore, you’ll hear Andree Thorpe as she talks about her new book “Fields of Hope” and answers questions. In the second hour from again an event at Novel Idea Bookstore held October 3rd, you’ll hear a reading by Tim Wynne-Jones as he launched “The Ruinous Sweep”. Following that, from the October 1st ‘and the journey continues’ reading in that monthly open mic, you’ll hear readings by Justin Gow, Shannon Hope, Lee-Ann Taras, Gwen Whitford, Tia Lunn, and Ken Chin.
