011: Erica Barth
This is the woman who goes to a Spanish language class to "meet dudes" and instead meets a female Buddhist monk. Isn't that great karma? Set your intention and life gives you something different that you needed more than what you thought you need. Erica Barth has mastered balance in life, but not just in the poses. Her practice flows off her mat and into the world because she somehow manages to run a yoga studio, teach yoga, and not lose her mind in the process. Once a professional corporate warrior, she's traded in the powerpoint presentations for yoga pants and the uncertain income of a yoga studio owner. She credits yoga as the best therapy because during her yoga teacher training, Erica lost her mother forever.  The result should be a dour, negative person. Not so. The practice carries Erica through life into a life well lived. Well, look at her smile and you tell me. It's not about Erica, it's about the people she inspires. It's just another NAMASday on Find Your Immersion.

010 Matan Cohen-Citron
Matan didn't grow up like most of us here in the United States. A native of Israel, he found his way in life one journey at time. First in the Israeli Defense Forces, then as a traveler, and eventually landed on Wall Street as a banker. After getting married, having a child, living the American dream, something wasn't right. Then the yoga caught up with him. Two hours a day on the mat plus time on the cushion led to a realization that he needed to share his practice. Matan teaches yoga as a form of therapy and reminds us that the practice never ends.

006: Karen Pride
How many businesses do you run? One, two? Karen Pride runs three all while practicing yoga every damn day. Since we all know yoga is everything and everything is yoga, Karen's practice reminds us to care immensely about the people in your life and give something back.  Growing up in the country in a tiny town in Southwest Michigan, Karen didn't know anything about health food, yoga, meditation, or even where happiness might come from.  After discovering buddhism from a friend in college, the door to yoga opened up a door to a new world. After 23 years on this planet, Karen found herself in Portland, Oregon opening up a health food restaurant. Fast forward from country girl in Michigan to today, now she's a world traveler and IPA enthusiast. She credits it all to a tireless work ethic. Let's hear her story in her own words.

005: Shannon Femenia
Pioneer women have done great things to settle the west. Shannon Femenia continues that tradition in Boise, Idaho to this day. We all know that following your internal compass is anything but easy. Shannon has been doing that for 25 years. Instead of crumbling to the contract with society, she followed her quest to seek out movement and breath.  The result? Today she runs a successful yoga studio that's 100% an extension of her authentic, loving self. Check out Yoga in the Hood next time you're in Boise. -patrick
