Episode 22 - Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo
This week we review the prequel to 2005's critically acclaimed (by us) Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo. Yes that's right, we haven't released an episode in over a month, and this is how we decide to make our grand re-entrance - another fucking Rob Schneider movie. In this episode we delve deeper into the psyche of Deuce Bigalow, and ask the important questions that no other podcast dares to ask. This is one episode you can't afford to miss!

Episode 21 - Coneheads
I bet you thought the podcast had ended, right? WRONG. After over a month of having absolutely no excuse for not releasing an episode (other than laziness), we're back with yet another movie that Adam Sandler barely appears in - the 1993 "classic", Coneheads. And let me tell you, the title isn't lying, because there are a whole bunch of people in this movie whose heads are cone shaped. I don't think there's ever been a more apt title for a film.

Episode 20 - Top Five (Feat. Lachlan Anderson)
This week we watched Top Five (2014) with friend of the show Lachlan Anderson! Top Five is a movie where Chris Rock and Rosario Dawson wander aimlessly through New York City over the course of a full day, before bumping into Adam Sandler for about two minutes. I mean this is an Adam Sandler-based podcast, so if you're looking at the movie purely through that lens, that plot synopsis is fairly accurate. If you're looking at it through a Chris Rock lens though? Well, in that case there's all sorts of shit going on! There's a whole movie's worth of interesting Chris Rock stuff going on.

Episode 19 - Men, Women and Children
In episode 19, we randomly chose the 2014 coming of age dramedy 'Men, Women and Children' - a movie basically nobody has heard of or cares about, featuring Adam Sandler in a loveless marriage, seeking out sex with a prostitute. There's also a whole lot of stuff about The Voyager Space Probe, existential dread, the insignificance of our individual lives in comparison to the grand scale of the universe, Guild Wars, and internet porn. Without spoiling anything, let me just say: this movie deserves a whole lot more than 32% on Rotten Tomatoes. Let us explain why.

Episode 18 - The Hot Chick
Episode 18, and we're thrown back into the Schneiderverse with 2002's The Hot Chick (featuring about two minutes of Dreadlocks-Sandler). So here's the deal - Rachel McAdams gets transformed into Rob Schneider (and vice versa) through some kind of ancient Egyptian magic - it's your run of the mill Freaky Friday situation. How's she gonna continue her life as a teenage girl? Is transforming into a small hairy half-Phillipino man going to negatively affect her chances of getting a date to the Prom? What about being a cheerleader, how's that gonna be a thing she can continue doing!? Look, this movie is all about the hijinks, and when Rob Schneider's involved, you know you're gonna get some top quality hijinks - as well as more than your fair share of deeply offensive moments. Enjoy the episode!

Episode 17 - The Waterboy
This week we were lucky enough to be able to watch a true Sandler classic, 1998's The Waterboy. This is a fairly short episode because we recorded it on New Years Day and were pretty out of it on multiple levels due to the shenanigans of the previous night. But also, what can you even say about this movie, really? It's just a straight up good movie. It's also Genji's favourite movie of all time. We basically struck gold this episode and it was nice to sit back and relax with a Sandler movie that almost feels like an old friend. Speaking of old friends, keep an ear out at the end for a guest appearance! Also keep an ear out for the wandering cat that attempted, on multiple occasions, to step all over the keyboard and potentially ruin the recording. Keep doing what you do best, cat!

Episode 16 - Just Go With It
This week we watched Just Go With It, a movie I can only assume started out with the logline: 'Adam Sandler wants to go to Hawaii so let's make that happen somehow'. Then when they actually got around to writing the script they decided 'fuck it' and made every character's personality trait: 'lying scumbag piece of shit'. And then when they got to the third act they ran out of paper and were like 'these lying scumbag pieces of shit don't really need to learn their lesson, do they? Like they can just keep on doing bad stuff for the rest of their life, that's how story structure works isn't it?' But maybe that's a winning formula. Maybe a romantic comedy starring Adam Sandler, made in the year 2011, that has the most ridiculous premise in the world, can actually end up enjoyable. Maybe beyond all odds, this is actually a funny movie? Scott and Genji dive in and attempt to find out.

Episode 15 - Going Overboard
This week we watched Adam Sandler's first feature film, 1989's Going Overboard, which also happens to be one of (if not the lowest) rated of them all. We'd heard nothing but terrible things, and expectations were at an all time low. And without spoiling anything, I'll just say this - the movie was... different... to what we were expecting. How different? Well, Billy Zane plays King Neptune of the sea, his daughter's name is Slimey, and they end up having to fight off assassins sent by Manuel Noriega. That kinda different.

Episode 14 - Jack and Jill
Episode 14 - AKA 'The Sleepy Episode'. We recorded this episode late at night, while drunk, on very little sleep, and it definitely shows. But don't let that dissuade you from listening, because we delve very deep into the world of Jack and Jill, the 2011 film that involves WAY more Al Pacino than you would ever expect. Sandler also dresses up as a woman and plays his own twin sister, which is, well, yeah, you can guess how that turns out. What a fitting movie to finish off an absolutely terrible year (RIP David Bowie, Snape, Prince, Hillary Clinton, etc, etc). Here's to a Sandler-filled 2017! Happy new year everyone, and enjoy the episode.

Episode 13 - You Don't Mess With The Zohan (Feat. Neilesh Verma)
Episode 13! And the hiatus is officially over - this week we watch 2008's You Don't Mess With The Zohan, the film where Adam Sandler tries to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by being a real good hairdresser. He also slaps a few people with his feet, and turns a few other people into human pretzels. At one point they play hackey sack with a cat. Look, it's a complicated issue. With returning guest, Neilesh Verma! Who we had to bring back, to show him what a real Sandler movie looks like.

Episode 12.5 - The Forgotten Episode
A month ago we watched a movie so terrible, that it caused us to question whether or not we can even be bothered continuing this podcast. As a way to ease ourselves back into the Sandlerverse after this hiatus, this week we chose not to watch an Adam Sandler movie. Instead, this is a compilation of stuff we've recorded in previous episodes that never ended up making the cut - along with some audio from a drunken 2 hour rambling conversation we had a few weeks back. And while it may sound like this is just a bullshit filler episode that isn't worth listening to, well, y'know, whatever, just listen to it anyway. We talk horse penis, Trump, Dragonball Z, you know, the usual. There's also an extended section at the end where me and Genji try to figure who was the bigger loser in high school. It's great stuff, really, everything you'd ever want from an Adam Sandler-based podcast. Enjoy!

Episode 12 - Hotel Transylvania (Feat. Neilesh Verma)
This week we're joined by Neilesh Verma, in our extra special, very spooky Halloween (AKA Scott's birthday) episode. And in keeping with the theme, we sat down and watched 2011's Hotel Transylvania, the animated children's movie where Adam Sandler plays an over-protective Dracula Dad. Weird thing is, we didn't choose this movie.... the movie chose us.

Episode 11 - Bulletproof
This week we watched 1996's Bulletproof, starring Adam Sandler as a bipolar criminal who screams a lot, and Damon Wayans as robocop. Have you seen 48 Hours? Last Boy Scout? Lethal Weapon? Rush Hour? Then you've got a pretty good idea of how this movie plays out: a multiracial pairing must bring down a criminal mastermind despite their many differences, by joking around while murdering dozens of people. In real life I imagine murder wouldn't really be a laughing matter, but then again I've never murdered anyone so I guess I don't know for sure. It might be hilarious! Anyway, in this episode we do Morgan Freeman impressions at the very beginning, so at least listen to that much.

Episode 10 - Funny People
Funny People! A movie starring (arguably) some very, very funny people. What could go wrong? Well it's two and a half hours long, for starters. And we started watching it at 9pm on a Monday night, while heavily drinking. And the thing about a two and a half hour Sandler movie is - it means you're gonna be drinking for two and a half hours. So to say this episode flies off the rails is a pretty big understatement. Oh and if you're a fan of chewing noises into the mic, you're in luck! Cos Genji brought his dinner! He also sneezes a lot! The good news is we recorded the episode on some high end microphones provided to us by previous guest and friend of the show Tom Judd, so at least all that chewing and sneezing was recorded in the highest of quality. In all seriousness, this is our best, most polished episode to date - if this isn't good enough to make our podcast at least moderately popular, then I'm all out of ideas. Enjoy!

Episode 9 - Dirty Work
Another week, another Adam Sandler movie. Except we rolled Dirty Work, which is actually a Norm MacDonald movie with a brief Sandler cameo, an insane Chris Farley in his final role, Chevy Chase being Chevy Chase, Shooter McGavin reprises his role as Shooter McGavin (pretty much), and there's even one scene with John Goodman for whatever reason. Is the movie worth watching? Listen and find out! To be honest we struggled with this one, which is why we go off on tangents about revenge fantasies and James Bond movies. Oh and of course, big shout out to Derek the Robot for doing the intro and outtro for the episode. Love ya Derek! Enjoy!

Episode 8 - Reign Over Me
Join us this week as we watch Reign Over Me, in our BEST EPISODE YET! We talk PTSD, suicide, dead families, 9/11, the holocaust, I mean the list is endless. Hot button issue after hot button issue, we tackle this shit head on and we come out on the other side laughing our asses off. At least Genji was laughing a lot, I remember that much. I guess you've gotta listen to it to really 'get' it. Oh, and don't miss the very beginning (where I explain a couple things about what's going on with the podcast) and the very end (which I threw in there just for fun). Enjoy!

Episode 7 - Anger Management (feat. Tom Judd)
It's our longest and loosest episode yet, and we're joined by our first ever guest Tom Judd! This week the three of us attempted to start watching an Adam Sandler movie at 11pm on a Monday night, before quickly realising that this isn't the kind of thing you do sober. Several beers and whiskeys later and we were more than ready to delve deep into 2003's Anger Management - a movie that Genji somehow has memorised word for word despite having only seen it once at the movies thirteen years ago. Stick around until the end for our new segment of the show, where we pitch our own idea for a Sandler movie. Enjoy!

Episode 6 - Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo
After a month-long hiatus (sorry about that), Scott and Genji are back, and this week they're watching the Deuce Bigalow sequel where now he's in Europe, or whatever. Look, I won't lie, this movie was difficult to analyse. When a film gives you a sneezing dick nosed lady, a guy eating soggy chips out of a toilet, and a pack of dolphins mauling the elderly, sure, you can try and look for meaning behind that. But of course, if you stare too hard into the abyss, sometimes the abyss stares back at you. And yes, when I say 'abyss' I am referring to Rob Scheider's sense of humour. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, this movie features four seconds worth of Adam Sandler.

Episode 5 - Big Daddy
Episode 5! Scott and Genji watch Big Daddy, the heartwarming, classic 1999 Sandler film where he teaches a five year old how to maim rollerbladers. We have our first Buscemi appearance, we have the golden trifecta of Dante, Covert and Loughran, we have Rob Schneider at his ethnically vague best. This movie has all the ingredients for pure Sandler greatness, but does it still hold up after all these years?

Episode 4 - Eight Crazy Nights
This week Genji and Scott watch 2002's Eight Crazy Nights, a film starring Adam Sandler, Adam Sandler, and Adam Sandler. We talk magical deer, Sandlerverse conspiracy theories, the sheer hilarity of an old man covered in human feces, and we ask the all important question: Just how much product placement can one man shove into one eighty minute movie?
