Far Cry 5
Good evening. This is Mike Mullis at the NLG Sports studios here in wonderful Baltimore, MD. Tonight's story; Hands-on with NHL 06 for the PS2, Xbox, far cry 5 torrent and PC! Hockey players and fans everywhere have been rejoicing over the fact that the season is now back on! Baltimore doesn't really have a team to call it's own, so we have to roll down to Washington, DC to watch the Capitals play. We're hoping that with the new salary cap rules and teams having to shift around players that maybe the Caps might actually pick up a good player or two and get back to being a competitive team. Who knows. But that's not what we're here to talk about tonight. Tonight, we're here to talk about the first of the two NHL Hockey video game heavyweights. Every year the battle for NHL video supremacy pits the NHL 2K series formerly by Sega and now by 2K Sports, and the game we are talking about tonight; EA Sport's NHL '06. We've been working with a preview build of the game for a little over a week now and we have some new hands-on information to pass along to you about the game before it ships on September 13th. Now admittedly, how much can you really do to improve a Hockey game? The game itself is so very straight-forward in gameplay. And EA's NHL series has been solid for many years. So taking their already solid game engine, EA Sports is making some smaller but important changes to make the game a little more authentic, and at the same time a bit more fun. Of course one of the most important changes coming to NHL 06 will be the inclusion of all the new rule changes in the NHL. The rule changes have been designed to make the game faster and emphasize offense and scoring rather than defense and goaltending. For example, the center line - gone. No more center line means no more of those type of 2-line penalties. You'll still get a 2-line call if you pass across both the blue lines though. The rink dimensions have also changed, which has already been redesigned in NHL 06 as well. The neutral zone (between the blue lines) has been shortened to make offensive zones bigger. This will mean a lot less offside calls. Also the goal lines are two feet closer to the end boards. Changes have also been made to the goaltenders themselves. The dimensions of goaltender equipment are reduced by approximately 11 percent. In addition to a one-inch reduction in the width of legpads, the blocking glove, upper-body protector, pants and jersey are also be reduced in size. Goaltenders may play the puck behind the goal line only in a trapezoid-shaped area defined by lines that begin six feet from either goal post and extend diagonally to points 28 feet apart at the endboards. Goaltenders will be penalized for delaying the game if they "freeze" the puck unnecessarily. Those lines are already built into the rinks in the build of the game we have. Oh, and no more ties in the NHL, or NHL 06. The new shootout rule guarantees a winner each game; ties have been eliminated. If a game remains tied after the five-minute, four-on-four overtime period, the teams will engage in a shootout, in which three skaters aside take alternating penalty shots against the opposing goaltender. If still tied after three shots per team, 'sudden-death' shots will be taken to reach a decision. All this is designed to bring new excitement to the Hockey rink.
