S5E48: Parenting through Generational Curses
Aloha folks,    I know that this topic has popped up a few times on the podcast and maybe it is a little repetitive. I found God challenging me in this season to talk more openly and freely about generational curses in a more specific light like parenting or marriage.  It was a little scary at first and I took a little while to record this episode, but the strength of the Holy Spirit was great and allowed me to record this episode.  I hope that you can find truth and encouragement in this episode.  If you feel like you are in this season with me I just want you to know that God is with us all and that we can break generational curses by choosing something different.  beginning quote:  "The Holy Spirit has come to live in you like a river, not like a pound.  A river.  flows and moves freely.  A pond sits and moves freely.  A pond sits and moves now and A river reaches out to new places and nourishes new ground.  A pond is self-contained and can become stagnant.  The love of God in you first comes to bless and enrich your life, but its course is to flow out from within you to touch and enrich other hearts." -Roy LessinScriptures: 1. Romans 7:25:  Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord! So you see how it is. In my mind, I really want to obey God's law but because of my sinful nature, I am A slave to sin.  2. Romans 5:8: God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 3. Exodus 20:5-6:  You must not bow down to them or worship them for I the Lord your God am A jealous god who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods.   I lay the sins of their parents upon their children the entire family is affected.  Even children in the thrid and fourth generations.  Of those who reject me.  But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations of those who love me and obey my commands.

S5Ep47:Finding JOY in the things we do
Aloha friends, Welcome back to Faith In Between, today I want to talk about JOY and Finding Joy in all the things that we do in our lives.   I know we sometimes like to believe that in order to find the joy we need to do something crazy and outrageous or dangerous, but I can assure you, there is joy all around you in your everyday life.  I'll talk to you about what I find joy in my days and how I have been linking God and what I do together for lasting JOY! My Joys-Being a Homemaker -Working at Paradise Cove-Handwriting -conversation -making Lei Po'o (Haku or flower crown) Scriptures1. Proverbs 17:22: A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength. 2. Romans 14:16-18: Then you will not be criticized for something you believe is good.  For the kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.  If you serve Christ with this attitude you will please God and others will approve of you, too.3. Colossians 3:23:  Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you are working for the Lord and not for people. 4. Ecclesiastes 3:12-13:  I concluded that there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can.  And people should eat ad drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God. Thank you so much for tuning in, until next tineMahalo Ui

S5Ep46: The Master with the Master Key
Aloha Friends, Thank you so much for joining me on today's episode, Season 5 Episode 46 of Faith In Between.  Today we are talking about unlocking the places in our life that just feel locked to us.  I had a conversation with Christ and he brought me to analogy of how in our lives we have locks; locks on our lives and specific areas or circumstances in our lives that make us feel trapped or stuck in a spot we don't want to be in anymore.  Here is the amazing thing God is the Master with the master key to our locks. All of them.  I know we can all feel stuck in our lives when it comes to working, family, finances, faith etc, and God sees our struggle, he knows what w struggle with and he has the key for us to unlock it all.  Join me as we unpack this crazy and amazing truth that God wants for us to know and understand.  Scriptures in episodeProverbs 14: 23:  Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to povertyProverbs 15:19: A lazy person's way is blocked with briers, but the path of the upright is an open highway. Reminders:  - I usually post every other week but right now my life is a little hectic and I am figuring out how to post frequently again. - all the scriptures that I mention in the episode are from the NLT version of the bible.  If I use another version I will indicate it in the episode as well as the show notes. Resources: Hope and Encouragement NLT bible By Day Springs Open bible:  https://www.openbible.info/topics/Thank you so much for tuning in, I'll see you at the next one.

Season 2 Trailer
Aloha, I’m Uilani Kumuhone, I am a wife, mom, homemaker/employee podcaster, and conversationalist at heart, but even throughout all of that the most important thing that I am and you are too, is a daughter to the most high King and right now your host for the show.   This is the Fatih In Between podcast, the show that meets you in your everyday life to bring encouragement and faith in between the seasons that God has us in.  Life is Hard and having faith when dealing with all of it is even harder nothing is more important to me than our connection to each other in Christ.   This show was bread out of obedience and willingness in Christ almost 4 years ago to bring encouragement and connection to other Christian women, hoping that I would spark something within you to find your passion in Christ; we’re making connections in the physical to transform our spiritual.  This is a solo-hosted podcast that is currently bi-weekly meaning I post every other week and now on Monday mornings instead of Tuesdays but still on Hawaii time.  I'm excited for the future of the show with you and all of our other listeners, so go ahead and Checkout the show and Join us on the next episode of Faith in Between.

S5E45: Faith In Between 2022&2023 Disturb us, Lord a poem by Francis
Aloha family and friends, this is our last and final episode for the year 2022, I know it hasn't been consistent and in the least bit "entertaining" for you folks these past few months and I do apologize for that.  My season has been a little exhausting with a new home and a new job all in the same year.  Crazy is an understatement, to say the least, but non the less I still cherish my podcast and I am ramping up to bring you, folks, lots more in 2023.  I'm not sure what God has in store so I won't make any set-in-stone promises, but I can assure you that whatever happens in 2023 will be led by Christ and founded upon Christ.  I appreciate the support and love that you have shown the podcast over the past few years and ask that you extend grace and patience as you witness firsthand the work that God is doing in my life. Today I want to share with you folks a poem/prayer that I recently came in contact with through a book that we will be reading in the coming weeks with my Church.  The book is called, Un-Common Life by Art Sepulveda our senior pastor at Word of Life Christian Fellowship.  Tucked within the first few pages of this book I had the pleasure of reading this beautiful poem/prayer that pastor Art used to beautifully display his point of needing to be awakened in this critical time.  I thought it perfect as we end out the year 2022 and step into the year 2023 to read, ponder and depict this short poem/prayer to help fuel us into the new year.  I hope you folks enjoy today's wonderful episode and I hope that your new years eve and new Year are safe, beautiful, and blessed.  Mahalo for listening to and supporting the podcast! From my family to yours ALOHA!! 2023 here we come!!   Poem/Prayer by Sir Francis Drake. Disturb Us, LordDisturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves, When our dreams have come true because we have dreamed too little, When we arrive safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us, Lord, when with the abundance of things we possess,we have lost our thirst for the waters of life, having fallen in love with life, we have ceased to dream of eternity, and in our efforts to build a new earth, we have allowed our vision of the new heaven to dim. Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly, to venture on wilder seas, Where storms will show your mastery, Where losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizon of our hopes, and to push us into the future in strength, courage, hope, and love. This we ask in the name of our Captain who is Jesus Christ.

S5E43:Faith In Between the Anti-Christ and Loving others (1 John 2 18-29& 1 John 3)
Aloha, It's Ui and we are back again with another episode of Fatih In Between.  Today we catch up on  A LOT! we also continue with 1 John 2 18-29 and 1 John 3 the full chapter (it's a short one I promise). But within these two chapters, we hear about the anti-Christ as well as loving others and how God is calling us to be vigilant of both in our lives.  I know personally, it isn't always sunshine and rainbows in my own life so I pray for all of us as we continue on this (re) discovering journey of Christ and who he is calling us to be in our lives today as new believers or as long time believers who are rededicating our lives back Christ. Key Points/definitions (taken from the study bible) 1. To abide in Jesus means living in a daily, close relationship with him, characterized by trust, prayer, obedience, and joy.  the Holy Spirit's presence and activity within Christians give evidence that they are abiding in Christ. 2. 2:20: anointed by the Holy One: Spiritually transformed by the Holy Spirit. 3. 2:24: What you heard from the beginning: The authentic message of Christ's death for sin and his defeat of death. 4. 3:20:  Whenever our heart condemns us: Whenever one has an inward conviction of sin.  the fact that God is greater than our heart assures us that he has forgiven us through the atoning death of Christ. 5. 3:21:  A clear conscience leads to boldness and confidence before God in prayer. 6. 3:22: Whatever we ask we receive:  Because we keep his commandments implies a direct connection between obeying God and receiving answers to prayer. Highlighted scriptures1 John 2:24:  Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you.  if what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. 1 John 3:11:  for this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 1 John 3:18: Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:20-22:  For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything. (21) Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God.  (22) and whatever we ask we receive from him because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. Psalm 37:4:  Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires (NLT)I absolutely loved this episode thank you folks so so much for joining me!! S5E42:Faith In Between -"What Now?" (The Moment after dedicating your life to Christ)
Aloha everyoneI hope this episode finds you in good spirits and blessings.  Today is an episode that I find needs to be spoken about because it's often left alone, and for me if I leave it alone I feel like things won't move in the direction or "way" that God needs for them to go.  We often give our lives back to God or to God for the first time and after a few days of being excited and on fire for God, we start losing momentum and eventually falling back into a place of stagnant water; where we start sinking in and getting lost all over again.  It's frustrating and it's scary.  If this is what you currently; do not fret, join me today as we work through this and more on today's episode. Reading for this episode 1 John 1: 1-10 1 John 2:1-17Key Points for the reading (taken from The Women's Study Bible:ESV)1 John 11:5-10: "God is light" Reflects the OT, where "light" symbolizes both knowledge and purity"1:7: "Walk in the Light means to reflect God's perfection in daily life. It includes both correct doctrine (truth) and moral purity(Holiness).  This phrase also implies that when Christians "walk in the light" their lives will not be characterized by hidden sins, lies, or deception."1:10: " Have not sinned, his word is not in us. Until a person recognizes sin and the need for salvation, the gospel has not changed him." 1 John 22:6: "Walk in the same way.  Believers can imitate Christ's faith, love, devotion, obedience, and selflessness."  2:7-17- "The unchanging commandment in a changing world. John emphasizes the love commandment.  He then describes the challenge of living as a Christian in a dark world dominated by 'the evil one.'2:7- The old commandment is love for God and love for others.  Jesus confirmed but also renewed these teachings.  Therefore they are also a new commandment."2:12-14: "John knows his message is greater than the evil he describes.  Some view little children, fathers, and young men as symbolizing the sages of spiritual maturity in A Christian's life.  Others think "little children" refers to all John's readers, while "fathers" refers to older believers and 'young men' to newer believers."2:16- "all that is in the world. John does not consider the whole created order evil. Rather, he gives examples of what believers should avoid. Human desires are part of God's creation.  they are evil only when they are expressed in ways for which god did not create them."Resources:Online topic bible search: https://www.openbible.info/topics/Women's Study Bible:  https://www.dayspring.com/esv-women-s-study-bible-cloth-hardcover-dark-tealemail me: uilanikumuhone.fib@gmail.comThank you for listening to today's episode. S1E010: Mentorship, Marriage and Motherhood
Hello hello and welcome back to Home Sweet Homemaking, I feel like it has been ages. I am still on a Holy Spirit High and I have been allowing the Holy Spirit to lead me in these episodes.  With that being said my goal is that you find value in these episodes and that you are able to enjoy the conversations that we have here.  Today I want to talk about mentorship and my experience with it thus far, I haven't been in a mentorship program before, I thought I was but then when I came into this program I can see that I clearly haven't.  So today we talk about that and also I'm sharing just my thoughts and hearts on motherhood and marriage and how that all goes together in life.  I know there is ALOT going on in this one, but I promise you it's A LOT of great things that God is bringing to my heart for you ladies. so please enjoy! RECAPS1E009: You are enough! Isaiah 1:19: For if you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land.  you don't have to be perfect you just need to be willing and obedient to Christ as you go and the rest will work out in God's timing.  Trusting in Him through it all. Scriptures in today's episode: Proverbs 31: 11-12:  Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. she brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.  Proverbs 31: 25-26: She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. Proverbs 31:27-28:  She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her.  Her husband praises her. I encourage you to read Proverbs 31 not as a comparison to ourselves but as a promise from God that this is who he created us to be we have access to this, we just need to ask for it boldly to be the women he created us to be.  Seek First CEO with Heather Shriver Burnshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/seek-first-ceo-mindset-heartset-biblical-principles/id1527176273The Fierce Identity podcast with Monique ScripRADICAL RESPONSIBILITY EPISODE: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-fierce-identity-podcast/id1504015038?i=1000549689609I had a great time today on the show, thank you for stopping by and spending time with me.  I know we are all busy homemakers so I really appreciate the time you spend listening to each episode. The next episode is on May 24, 2022I pray for a wonderful week for all of us.  Hang in there because you’re doing an amazing job sis again thanks so much for being here and remember to keep showing up for your purposed role as a homemaker and watch God show off in your life.  Till next time, bye…

But I really do hope and pray that any if not all of the episodes do bring you to value and encouragement to your role as a homemaker because I know that I need these times to let loose and have really good conversations with other women who understand and know what I do and can just continue on in conversation with me because I do feel really good to just have good conversations and that’s my goal here good, meaningful christ filled conversations with women (or men) like you! So thanks so much for being here!  So before we jump into this awesome episode we need to first do our re-cap of the previous episode to kind of just give you guys an idea of what that was incased you missed it, or if you tuned in just remind you of our convo and maybe spark more encouragement. Re-cap of the last Ep-Tittle: E:006- The Silent Enemy in Our Lives. -Key points: Telling ourselves these beliefs that basically limit our physical ability in our everyday lives because it literally causes us to stay in the “box” that we put ourselves in.  -fear (biggest trigger to a limiting belief) -1 Timothy 1:6-7:  This is why I remind you to fan into the flames the spiritual gifts God gave you when I laid my hands on you.  For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity but of power, love, and self-discipline Scriptures from today's episode: Esther 4:14 Esther 5: 2-4 Esther 8:3-7Isaish41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  James 1:5:  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.   TipsPray Filter all of your opportunities through the eyes of Christ If you know God is calling you to ask him for the strength and wisdom to do it Isaish41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  James 1:5:  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.  Next Episode will be on April 12,2022I pray for a wonderful week for all of us.  Hang in there because you’re doing an amazing job sis again thank you so much for being here and remember to keep showing up for your purposed role as a homemaker and watch God show off in your life.  Till next time, bye…

S1E006:The Silent enemy in Our Lives
Hello hello and welcome back to the show, If you are new to the podcast welcome, here Is where we hang out and talk stories about all kinds of stuff, lately we've been focusing on the deeper stuff that lives within our hearts or hearts as homemakers, we haven’t done much like physical homemaking stuff, but I'm still settling into my new home and am definitely not ready to start talking about all of it.  But I love to talk about things that I feel will bring encouragement and clarity to our lives as homemakers, the world has grown so much and I like to keep up with the times but also I like some things of the past that I think just make sense even today.  But I hope that you enjoy the show and if you do at the end I’ll tell you exactly what you need to do and how to do it.. but for now let's jump into our re-cap I just wanted to let you all know just how much I appreciate each of you and welcome to everyone who is new.Re-cap of the last Ep-Title: Words for Life -What it was about: it was basically about three very important words that I have grown to know and understand and even appreciate in my life.  One was a word for the year, the next was a word for my life and last was a word that God has spoken over me since I was a little girl. -Key points: the three words are THRIVE: the word for my year, JOY: my life word, and last PEACEMAKER: the name God has called me throughout my life.   Three tips: 1. pray2. Look back through your life and find that consistent positive thing that is you3. start looking at yourself through the lens of beauty. start finding those things for yourself that you know God has given to you, Blessed you with.  As always these are not solid, must do steps to get these, these are basically what I do and what helped me to find these words that I shared above. The words that I live by and the ones that will carry me through the Course of my life.Limiting beliefs (and I found this on google on a site called Asana.) is “A state of mind or belief about yourself that restricts you in some way.”Here are some of the limiting beliefs that I could resonate with during that training. “I can’t do it”“If my husband doesn't support me I can’t be successful”“I can’t be in business and in family, I have to pick one”1 Timothy 1:6-7:  This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you.  For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline (other translations  “A sound mind”)  Tips 1.Pray: Ask God to help you figure out what are those limiting beliefs that you hold on to in your mind 2. write them down so you can see them. And then go back into prayer and give them to God 3. change the wording around and instead of saying the negative change it into a positive statement to start saying it to yourself each day 4. create a daily mantra or affirmation statement to say to yourself each day it doesn't have to be fancy or perfect it just has to be where you can understand what it is. I had a great time today on the show, thank you for stopping by and spending time with me.  I know we are all busy homemakers so I really appreciate the time you spend listening to each episode.  Our next episode is on March 29, 2022 If you or someone you know wants to chat with me about life insurance, annuities or extra income please feel free to email me @uikumu.php@gmail.com that is my brand new work email that I created I would love to help bring knowledge to you and your family, security in the future and an opportunity that can change your life like it is changing mine.    Till next time, bye…
