Welcome to the third and final episode of season 2 of Evoking the Sublime. I wanted to do something a little special on this episode. Oftentimes, I talk with people about the Sega Genesis, but it’s rare that I find people that hold the same reverence for the system as I have. So I decided to bring on the only person that I know that shares that same love for the Genesis as me: my father. We sat down to reminisce on the games we have loved for years and had such a wonderful time. Please enjoy. I love you, Dad.

I am so happy to announce that Evoking the Sublime has returned! Yes, season 2 has started and it feels so good. Welcome to the first episode of the new podcast from the Sword Chomp crew: Evoking the Sublime. After months of work and logistics, it has finally been launched. The aim of EtS is to offer an in-depth look at the history and creation of one video game per episode. This episode details the ideas behind What Remains of Edith Finch, one of Sword Chomp's favorite games of 2017. Shea, me, the host, was lucky enough to speak to the creative director of the game and of Giant Sparrow, Ian Dallas.
