In this episode Jeff and I discuss the new year with new paths and intentions- 2020 word of the year for Jeff - discipline. My 2020 word of the year - determined. We talk about our challenges for the year and the strategies we want to implement to overcome them.

Todays episode we are joined by Jeff's lifelong friend Bryce. Bryce and his oldest daughter Lilly get messy with everything from Jeff and Bryce being friends since Kindergarten and also his time in the Army. Lilly brings a kids perspective into the life of a military kid moving from base to base and having to deal with meeting new friends every few years. And Bryce shares a messy secret about Jeff.....Enjoy the show.

Disclaimer** may not be for little ears, subject matter is a bit naughty. ..Jeff and I get messy with marriage and finding ways to communicate with each other that speaks to our likes and dislikes or "love language" if you will. We both have said marriage is hard AF, and it really is! But the little ways we can find to think of us is important to both of us. Kids, work, hectic schedules, clutters our relationship but remembering to take the time is satisfying and necessary...we don't always do it, hell sometimes we don't want anything to do with each other but at the end of the day we both show up and try and bring the best of ourselves. This episode Jeff and I talk to our teenage daughter about the pressures of growing up in the world today. How teenagers are influenced by social media and the expectations of young people. Jordyn shares her insightful thoughts and gives advice for her generation and future generations.

Being a parent is hard, and it's messy! Teenagers have it harder these days, lots of pressure and judgements. Dealing with social media and the fast pace of knowledge at your finger tips, serves a purpose but can also make things more difficult. We know we are not the only ones to go through difficulties as parents, we would love to hear from you and your experiences too!

Jeff and I take a break from real life to talk about random stuff and just laugh a little. We needed to laugh at everything from "watermelon seeds" to "White Claw" and everything else in between. I hope everyone listens and can laugh or at least enjoy laughing at us. Lets get MESSY!!!!
