My Father's Life Long Battle with Cheesecake is a Metaphor We All Need
All of us are extremely dumb in a lot of aspects of our life. We are also very intelligent about other aspects but mostly we are dumb. It's time to embrace our dumbness. Whether it's my dad's fight with cheesecake his entire life, the people who left their phone's location services on when they stormed the US Capitol on January 6th, or me when I'm trying to figure out my I can't get my water bill on automatic payments; we all can be dumb AF. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

People Watching Families at Sam's Club Has Got Me Pondering "What If" & "What Could Happen"
As I'm perusing the aisles of Sam's Club, buying stuff I absolutely don't need, I can't help but notice all of the different types of families at this store. Families with kids are all over the place; it seems like every other person is carrying around their little munchkins or quietly yelling to "put that down." There are dads who look like they haven't slept in days and there are moms who seem to be able to keep track of their children without batting an eyelash. This Sam's Club visit has me pondering how different my life would be if I had kids earlier in life and/or got married.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

Olde English Bulldogge and the Crazy World of TikTok
It's been almost a full year since a new episode of the Everyone Needs a Little podcast has been released, so what in the hell have I been doing?  The answer is extremely simple but complex at the same time. I started a business, adopted a bulldog, and have experienced a crazy ride on the app TikTok.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

Going to the Beat of your own Drummer | A Conversation with Lindsey Shaker
I've known Lindsey Shaker for years but have only met her once in person. So, like many friendships in today's world, our relationship has always been online. Following Lindsey on Facebook has me asking a ton of questions about her, from the squirrels outside her house she names to hours of belly dancing.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

Meet Dan Seitz, Former Introverted Flair Bartender, Current YouTube Super-dad & Self Awareness Advocate
I've known Dan Seitz for nearly 20 years. He's a guy I currently want in my life but my bullshit stories in my head keep that from happening. Today's podcast is my first step in creating a new friendship with this awesome person. Hearing his story and learning of his struggles and successes helps me relate with him more, making it easier to start that reconnection.  I also pitch him my new podcast idea, "Forced Friends" getting his feedback.  See the Seitz YouTube description and channel link: Family vlogger and special needs dad. Their family motto: "the only way to it, is through it." A lady in Iowa, a Woman in Wisconsin, and a Man in Kansas City walk into a Virtual Bar...
Amy mentioned in a Facebook comment to me that she wanted to start a podcast with our mutual friend Katie so I invited them on my podcast to let them give it a trial run. Between Amy's microphone challenges and the tequila, Katie was full of I had a great time.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

How to Get Fired in Corporate America
I believe there are three types of places to work in America; the Corporate Structure, the Start-Up/Small Business Structure, and the Government Structure. It's safe to say I am not built for two of those categories, and at least one of those structures agrees.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

Thirst Traps, Simping, True Intimacy, and the Dunbar Number
Thirst Trap: A sexy photograph or flirty message posted on social media for the intent of causing others to publicly profess their attraction. This is done not to actually respond or satisfy any of this attraction, but to feed the posters ego or need for attention, at the expense of the time, reputation, and sexual frustration of those who view the image or reply. Simping: A male overly catering to the exaggerated emotions of a woman. Also; a man saying things to a woman he does not believe but only saying them because he thinks that she wants to hear them. Intimacy:  close familiarity or friendship; closeness. Dunbar's Number: A suggested cognitive limit to the number of people with whom one can maintain stable social relationships—relationships in which an individual knows who each person is and how each person relates to every other person. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

No One Wants To Think They Are The Bad Guy In A Relationship When It Comes To Vulnerable Communication
A lack of communication can be the foundation of almost every failed relationship, romantic or platonic. The inability to be vulnerable with someone you love is absolute cancer on the relationship.  As an over communicators, people who repress feelings instead of talking about them is dumbfounding to me.   --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

Karma: the Sum of a Person's Actions in this and Previous States of Existence, Viewed as Deciding their Fate in Future Existences.
Recently I began thinking that all this bad and negative stuff happening in my life is due to karma. Maybe all the shitty things I did earlier in life were coming back to haunt me? I was not a good boyfriend in the majority, ok...all of my relationships in my 20's & 30's so maybe it's time to pay for those mistakes. But according to Hinduism and Buddhism karma is not what we think it is in western culture.   I also complain about loneliness a lot in today's episode, but what's new? :)  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

Hiding Behind the Word Psychoanalyzing | Self Awareness Journey
We all tell ourselves stories that we believe that we shouldn't. Sometimes believing those stories can cause a lot of unnecessary destructive energy and drama. I have been doing it my entire life but justifying it by labeling it as psychoanalyzing.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

Businesses That Will Need to Adapt or they will Simply Die After People Come Back from Experiencing Social Distancing
Large Shopping Malls in medium market cities, Large Movie Theater Complexes, Car Dealerships still using old school methods, and any small business without an online presence like a website or upkeeping their Google My Business listing and providing every bit of content needed by customers searching are just many of the businesses that will need to adapt to the new world of consumer behavior & demand for positive customer experiences or they will just simply die out after social distancing is over.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

COVID-19 has Put a Stop to my Professional Creative Juices & I've Got a Netflix Series Idea to Pitch You
I'm in a place right now that I've never had to deal with as a professional digital content maker. That place I've never been before is in the middle of a coronavirus pandemic. The COVID-19 is a difficult thing to go up against when you trying to market a product to an industry that is being negatively affected and currently struggling.   Plus, I pitch a new idea I have for a Netflix series. Since I recorded my brilliant idea here it has been time-stamped in case one of those Hollywood city slickers steal it.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support

Mabel Peralta | Just an East Coast Living Dominican Girl Surviving | Conversations with Friends During COVID-19 Coronavirus Social Distancing Series
I loved this conversation with my friend Mabel Peralta. Mabel is a few years younger than me and looks 20 years younger as well, who was raised in New Jersey approximately 5 minutes away from the Lincoln Tunnel to New York City.  Fascinating discussion about the differences in growing up during the 1980s in two completely different American cultures and regions.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/everyoneneedsalittle/support
