Baby Evie shines a special kind of magic into this world.  From the first scans it was clear that Evie had Down Syndrome but then multiple health challenges followed including a serious inoperable heart defect. This week Sinead is joined by a woman who was pregnant & homeless. She would like to remain anonymous but is hopeful that people can hear and understand her story.  As the housing crisis in Ireland escalates she found herself unable to keep up with rising rental costs. In early pregnancy she had no choice but to arrive at a homeless hostel seeking support.  What she found was an environment completely unsuitable for any pregnant woman seeking shelter, care and compassion.  Thankfully she was directed to the work of the charity group Anew who support pregnant women at risk of homelessness. Anger and rage - no matter how much you love sometimes these unwanted emotions rise and we want to understand why. In this week’s episode Sinead O'Moore is back with a guest from Season 2 Sinead Hingston Green. When we last spoke to Sinead Hingston she was raising her voice to share how difficult it was for parents to experience loss during the pandemic maternity restrictions. Available here.
