Episode 6 - Sordid Affairs
This morning, the President of the United States tweeted out that adult actress Stormy Daniels is fabricating the details of her encounter with a man who allegedly threatened her and her young daughter if she continued to talk about her intimate relationship with Trump. This week we learned that Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen (who brokered a hush money deal with Stormy Daniels) has another client, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, who has been railing against every aspect of Robert Muller’s Russian interference investigation. How exactly all of these things are connected is still unclear, but we do know that our elected leaders and certain media outlets are not being forthcoming with the truth. So let’s take a step back and review what exactly we know so far about the relations 45 is alleged to have had, and why this is all much more important than just a sordid affair.

Episode 5 - Year in Review
This year is already going by in a blur, but let's take a moment to reflect on the biggest stories of 2017, from the #metoo movement to the millions who marched, from the hurricanes to the solar eclipse, and yes, the inauguration of the 45th president. We try to connect all of these events into a single sad, yet hopeful synopsis. Bonus movie review at the end for The Last Jedi (spoilers).

Episode 4 - Guns
After a long delay, we're back with a big one: guns. Nick and I are joined by our good friend Carlisle Beauchene as we delve into this complicated issue. We recorded this episode not long after the Las Vegas shooting, so our main topic focuses on gun politics and culture, but we also cover everything from Trump’s continuing attack on the free press to our society finally coming to terms with sexual harassment culture and even touch on religion at the end. Hope you enjoy!

Episode 3 - North Korea
As tensions rise in North Korea and conflicting messages emerge from the White House, we discuss the history of the Korean peninsula and the various strategies America has in dealing with the impending nuclear threat. But first, we tackle the debate surrounding the NFL protests and what it means to be patriotic. Next week on the podcast: the worst mass shooting in modern US history and what we can do to prevent these events from becoming regular.

Episode 2 - Conversation with a Conservative
With the division between the right and left growing, and social media and cable news further segregating us into our separate echo chambers, it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain a civil discourse with the other side.

Today, I’ll be speaking with my friend Nick Baribeau, a lifelong conservative, about climate change, Charlottesville, the recent rescinding of DACA, and what it is like to be a conservative in the era of Trump. It turns out we’re not so different after all.

Episode 1 - Fascism in America
In the weeks after the Charlottesville white supremacist rally, which included the death of counter-demonstrator Heather Heyers, we as a nation have been struggling to understand what exactly happened and who to blame. In this short podcast, we take a look at the events that took place in Charlottesville, the “many sides” of the rally, the president’s response, and what it means for us as a country.
