What was God doing before the creation of the world? God is the one who brings everything into existence but who Himself is not brought into being. The God of philosophers is called by cold impersonal names like the Unmoved Mover or Uncaused Cause. We find the true face of God in Jesus and we realize He is a son of a Father. We can never escape this commission from Jesus. We can attempt to explain it away, disobey it, but you can’t ignore it. We’re commissioned to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the leper and cast out demons. Jesus’ time on earth showed us the authentic Christian experience and it’s impossible to live it without walking in the supernatural power of God. God doesn’t cause sickness: Jesus is God and revealed God definitively and healed by the Power of the Holy Spirit John 14:9 Matthew 12:28 Acts 10:38 Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirt and power to heal all who were oppressed of the devil God not only has the ability but is willing to heal the sick Matthew 8:2 Jesus tells him “I am willing” Faith begins where the will of God is known. One of the best things that happened to me in my journey with Jesus was being taught to learn from other denominations, leaders, and movements. It gave me an expansive view that was seeking Kingdom truth in everything. It wasn’t narrow-minded and allow for convictions to vary in Christ. I quickly learned that for many Christians it’s hard for them to get over what they disagree with in another belief. The battle to be ourselves happens to all of us, whether we’re the president, pastor, teacher, loud, quiet, introvert, or extrovert. We cannot escape the temptation life presents to be fake. This battle has defeated the best of us, but the good news is that there’s a way out. The fear of rejection doesn’t have to restrict you. We all want to be accepted, that’s the bottom line. It’s almost like it’s easier to hide, and that’s because it is easier. A person being true to who they are is hard, but the reality is it doesn’t have to stay hard.
