You may have already heard, but we have a royal announcement from Great Britain. In Berlin, Germany, there was a surprise in the bananas. It’s not what you might be thinking either. We learn about some large animals that are at risk, and we end up here in Prince Edward Island, Canada for our last story. L: Okay, I’ll start us off. What stories do we have today Peter? P: There has been some recent volcano activity in different parts of the world, and there has also been lots of activity with the Apple watch. In Brazil, some of the people involved in the Petrobras scandal have been convicted and sentenced. As temperatures rise in the northern hemisphere, people have to remember not to leave pets and children in parked cars. There’s been a new study on how pollution could affect your brain, and not in a good way. The Japanese are breaking records with a new high speed train in their efforts to reduce the travel time between Osaka and Tokyo. We end up at Wimbledon where they’ve put a ban on a new device. In Brazil iPhone production is not going quite as planned, and the results are in on a study of sleep patterns in toddlers. Some new cancer drugs are being tested by a Swiss drug maker. They could generate a lot of income and better yet, save a lot of lives. Do you ever wonder what happens to the loose change that sometimes gets forgotten by people going through security at the airport? Well we’re going to tell you. We end off today with some news on a sticky situation with honey bees in Seattle. L: We have lots of interesting stories this week. I’ll get us started. Senior to have quadruplets A

Then we have some animal stories about big bunnies, unfortunate animals that have become roadkill, and pooch poo. L: Oh dear. Tell us about Brazil’s latest scandal. More kickbacks in Brazil Another huge kickback scheme, one that may be even bigger than the one at Petrobras, has been uncovered by police in Brazil.  An investigation that began in 2013, has found that workers at the Government agency responsible for collecting fines levied by Brazil’s Internal Revenue Service, have been receiving kickbacks in exchange for throwing out fines.
