The Passing Pleasures of Sin
Digital Bulletin--https://mailchi.mp/alliancechurch/the-passing-pleasures-of-sin Personal Reflection/Discussion Questions 1) Do you actually believe that the Reproaches of Christ are greater than all the world has to offer? Take a moment to deeply think, are you living in a way where you are being reproached and suffering like Jesus? If not, what are ways God wants you to change your lifestyle to live in a way for Him that reproaches might happen to you? 2) Since sin is a Passing pleasure, what can you focus on the next time sin tries to allure you? What can you shift your focus to, bring to remembrance, to show that sin is a passing pleasure and the riches of God are eternal and fulfilling pleasures? 3) Do you believe that you've been spiritually eating the "fullness" of what God has for you? Or do you believe that you've only been eating the peel? What does the Lord want you to walk in to experience His fullness?

Biblical Hermeneutics--Session 3
Hermeneutics. Why would anyone want to learn that?!? Biblical Hermeneutics means the science or method of accurately studying and interpreting the Bible. As you know, the Bible was written a long time ago to a totally different culture and in a variety of literary genres. All of these factors impact our ability today to properly understand the Bible--i.e. what it means for us today, and thus, how to properly apply it to our lives. This Leadership Development Track course will be the final of three Biblical Hermeneutics classes. This course will be presented in the Sanctuary to allow for social distancing. As we have often done before, we will reserve the entire right-hand side of the sanctuary as a "masks-only" section.

Digital Bulletin-- https://mailchi.mp/alliancechurch/called-out Reflection/Discussion Questions What are some conceptions of WHO the Church is and WHAT the Church has been called to do? Peter describes the Church as a temple of the Holy Spirit. In what ways should that be observable to both believers and non-believers? Peter describes the Church as a Royal/Holy Priesthood. How may that idea be practically applied? What makes our "sacrifices" spiritual? What might be example of unspiritual sacrifices? Take some time to review the "spoiler alert" and PRAY that God will transform our minds in regards to His Church and that we will become all that Christ died for us to be.
