Dear Clinic Owner: “Why Are You Not Asking Me For My Email Address”?
In the fifth episode of the eClinic Marketing Podcast, I ask a very important question to all clinic owners out there: Why aren’t you asking your customers for their email addresses? The only logical answer here is that you just don’t know how important it is, which is why I’m here to tell you. Yes, I know you have a Twitter account and a Facebook account, and those things are important, but your customer’s email address is the most important asset for most businesses, and it’s no exception for those who own their own clinic either. Why? Because think about it – when you email someone, you’re contacting them directly. The only thing your message is competing with is other messages in one’s inbox, and we all know how we often can’t leave any emails unanswered. For some of us, it’s the first thing we check when we wake up in the morning – or we have notifications on our mobile devices that let us know the moment a new email comes out way. With social media, you’re competing with tons of noise and when you update a status or share a tweet, you’re only sending your message to a fraction of your overall following – and I talk about why that’s the case during this episode too. More Specifically, in this episode you’ll learn about: Why it’s a huge mistake not to collect your customer’s email addresses. The psychology of email and why it’s the the #1 form of communication online. Specific examples of what you can email your customers – things you probably didn’t think of. Why only relying on social media is playing a very dangerous game. What you can do right now to get started now with your email marketing campaign. Plus so much more… Links and resources mentioned in this episode: Aweber MailChimp Right-click here to download the MP3 file Thanks for Listening! Transcript Here's transcript for Episode 3 Hey, what's up everyone, this is Ato Chandler and welcome to the third episode of the E-clinic marketing podcast. This is session three of a three part series on the ends and outs of outsourcing our work. In the last show we talked about the different types of virtual assistance we can use. Where we can find them and the sort of work each type of freelancer or virtual assistant does. If you haven't listened to session two yet, I definitely recommend you do that. First of all, because it really leads naturally into this one. Let's just quickly recap. Firstly, there are different types of VA's or virtual assistants available to help you with your work. I really couldn't manage all the things I need to do on a daily basis without the help of these guys. They really leverage my day and allow me to be doing other things like working my business, getting out there to meet clients. Now, after that we talked about the benefits of outsourcing our work. We talked about the different kinds of VA's and those most pertinent to physios and osteopaths. These were the web designer, or graphic designer, the web developer, or the video and the video and audio editor. We then ended on an important note, reminding everyone that

Welcome to the eClinic Marketing Podcast
I have finally taken the plunge and am glad to say I am launching my first ever episode of the eClinic Marketing Podcast. I think this is a resource that is long overdue for health professionals as there are so few mediums that are growing in popularity as podcasts and will allow the community to share a resource that will be full of actionable and insightful information. I will be publishing two episodes a month and I hopefully want to build this up to once every week because I feel there is so much out there to talk about out there for physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors out there to get their hands on and I am sure there are so many that are really anxious to here what some of the marketing experts on this podcast have to say especially in regards to building and growing their practices online. In the first ever episode I go solo and talk about the topic of outsourcing work. Why? Well it's a topic I really like and I am truly a supporter of delegating work to third parties and building online teams to free up time and leverage my day. Yes I dare to say you will love it as I've left the recording intact with the bits where you can hear my hesitations [laughs] but I feel all adds to the human element. I'm just really looking forward to seeing how the podcast progresses and how I progress as well as a presenter. One other thing I did mention on the podcast the name "Chris Ferriss" the correct name for this author is "Tim Ferriss" [laughs, nerves are a killer]. MORE SPECIFICALLY ON THE SHOW YOU WILL FIND OUT ABOUT what outsourcing means how using an agency does not mean the quality of work will be any good why every practice owner needs to build a team of virtual assistants how outsourcing is able to leverage your practice when is the correct time to think about outsourcing and getting help RESOURCES AND LINKS MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE INCLUDE: Skype Odesk Elance Nubelo Dropbox Chris Ducker Podcast SUBSCRIBE TO THE PODCAST If you want to download this episode, you can sync with the iTunes store Listen in Stitcher (best for Android users) Or right-click here for a direct download A QUICK FAVOUR And lastly, please leave a rating and review for the eClinic Marketing podcast on iTunes - it goes a long way, not only does it make me fell I'm doing a goo
