Moe’s Web-Based Open Mic Night (April 21st): Moe’s is hosting their Tuesday Open Mic Night over the internet, streamed to multiple places, including Moe’s Facebook pages as well as our YouTube and Facebook, plus embedded into our blog.
Henry Strater Theatre (HANK) Shuts Down: The Henry Strater Theatre (HANK) closes down after 58 years of operation. despite the name, the location where the HANK operated is not actually owned by the Strater or the Barker Family. According to Rod Barker, the lease was too much and with covid-19 on top of that, it only made sense. The Strater is looking to develop the empty lot between their hotel and Denny’s into a new event center, as well as other contingencies.
KSUT Cancels 2020 Folk N Bluegrass Festival: The 2020 Pagosa Folk ‘N Bluegrass Festival, hosted by KSUT / KSUT Presents, was cancelled on Saturday April 11th, 2020, due to covid-19. As of right now, the 2020 Folk Fest scheduled for September 4th – 6th is still planned to go on.
2020 Animas River Days Cancelled Due To Covid-19: The 2020 Animas River Days Festival has been cancelled due to the coronavirus. Although organizers were certain the lockdown would have ended prior to the event, there was too much uncertainty, with a closing deadline for preparation.
2020 FIBArk Cancelled Due To Covid-19: FIBArk, the USA’s oldest whitewater festival, located in Salida, Colorado, has been cancelled. Outside of the whitewater rafting and river-oriented events, FIBArk also featured three nights of free music.
iAM MUSIC Four Corners Musician Fundraiser: iAM Music has started a GoFundMe to help generate relief money for performing artists that have been impacted by the coronavirus. When the coronavirus caused the implementation of social distancing guidelines, and eventually caused the shutdown of all music venues and restaurants, it halted all live concerts and performances.
