Men lie, women lie, but numbers don't don't lie. When reviewing the numbers we are surprised to see the revealing (read: grim) figures about black women and marriage. Why are black women on the low end of marriage statistics? Is it one person's fault? Is it society’s fault? Who do we blame when we are addresssing this and what impacts does this have on the black family? Although the narrative around marriage has evovled over time, and while it still remains important to so many people, we we be remiss if we didn't notice how black women seem a little left out of the marriage equation.
