WE'RE BACK! And just as drunk as ever.  We dusted the mics off and decided you hadn't heard enough of us just yet.  Strap in because this is the episode where we look ahead to the start of a brand new season.  It's like Christmas eve for hooligans.  A magical and wonderful time where the possibilities are endless and the dreams are unreasonable (looking at you Spurs).  Grab your favorite drink, and join us as we embark on the latest journey. 

We come to you remotely this weekend for logistical reasons but the episode does not lack substance.  Newcastle United win their appeal and become the world's richest club overnight.  Kelly and I breakdown all the angles and try to paint a picture of the situation for you.  

STILL exhausted from Sunday's Liverpool vs City match-up.  What a match we witnessed. We also saw United drop points, Chelsea get saved by a dubious VAR red card, and the other team in the top 6, Brighton drop points at home to Arsenal.  AND after only 7 games, we witnessed our first manager sacking.  Watford may not be any good at Premier League football, but boy are they good at firing managers.  Claudio Ranieri will be their 13th manager since the new owners took the helm in 2012.  Get your last squeeze of new before the international break! 

Another weekend passes and another weekend where Kelly predicts one score and Gordon another and the score that they don't go with ends up being the result. Liverpool do in fact drop points in a neutral fan's wet dream of a match, the North London Derby is painted in a deep deep red, and the City v Chelsea match we came to love from last season failed to spark.  Only one team remains unbeaten, but SIX remain without a win.  VAR also goes back to being involved but not show-stealing.  We also curb our enthusiasm for Sheriff after learning a little bit more about the club and discuss the Champions League.  

We lasted four weeks, pleasantly oblivious to the horrors about to rear it's ugly head in week five.  VAR has awoken from it's slumber and given us a weekend of talking points.  From the Ronaldo snub (or double snub according to him), to the Brighton vs Leicester game, Kelly and I try to break down the weekend's action.  We also delve into the first day of the third round of the Carabao Cup.  Come to the dark side, crack open a cold drink, and join the conversation.   

No, it's not a dirty word, unless watching two superstars set the fourth weekend in the premier league alight gets you off.  In this episode we jam pack the content because we witnessed the first matchday of the Champions league.  It's Christmas #2 on the calendar, and boy were we spoiled.  A 9 goal thriller in Manchester, a 5 goal thriller in Liverpool, and Sherriff finishing top of their group after match week one a top of Real and Inter Milan.  To top the Football Sundae we finish the episode off with re-welcoming Ronaldo back with two goals, and Lukaku matching his tally.  

International breaks can be a tad boring, especially on the heels of an exciting summer tournament.  Feels like we've barely gotten our feet wet in the new EPL season when we are forced to watch chop-shopped International teams square off for World Cup Qualifiers.  Well we've tried to make the down week a little bit better for you by talking through some of the week's biggest headlines, and ending with testing our knowledge.  Play along and see how you do!

Spurs undefeated, without conceding a goal sit a top on the Prem after week three. Bitter rivals, Arsenal sit at the bottom, 0 points and 0 goals scored.  For Gunner fans, it must be like waking up in some desolate dystopian world, unfortunately, it's reality.  But we'd rather get the true feelings of the faithful then read about it in the papers.  That's why we bring in Aaron as a guest host!  Aaron played college ball with Kelly and I, and has been an Arsenal supporter since the early 90s.  He gives us the straight shot and sets us right with how he feels the season has shaped up so far for the red and white of London.  This was a fun one, so open a few beers and spend your international break with us!

We are back, and this time, Gordon remembered to turn the mics on!  We welcome a special guest to this pod, or rather I couldn't get out of baby sitting this week and my son joins us.  But between the random coos, Kelly and I dive into week two of the premiership where we witnessed more great goals and more tough tackles.  We discuss Harry Kane "deciding" he was staying, Nuno's honeymoon revolution, and Ronaldo's possible return to the EPL.  

Wow.  I could have literally stopped typing there and it would have sufficed for the ACTION packed opening weekend we witnessed. From the New Bees victory involving the old man crying, the amazing goals across the league, to a Kane-less Tottenham win.  But boy oh boy the fans really made the weekend.  Relive the action with our pod this week as we try to condense all of that in an hour.  *Takes a deep breath*  It's good to be back! After a summer filled with international tournaments, it's finally time to get back to our beloved Prem.  The beginning of a new season always brings hope and excitement and this one is no different.  Kelly and Gordon introduce the new boys in the league and spew out our predictions.  Of course, we also touch on Messi too.... Crack open a cold one, get comfy, and dream about all that is ahead of us in the 2021/22  with us!

We're back and better than ever... or so we had planned.  Not talking about the beautiful game for two month has got us dusting off the old podcasting cobwebs.  Never fear though, we pack this return episode chalk-full of DITBox staples.  Mispronunciations, alcohol, Messi saga, VAR, and our favorite lovable loaf, Naughty Wayne Rooney.  Wind down from internationals, and gear up for the Community Shield!  Season 3, here we go! 

That's a wrap folks! On a crazy championship Sunday which saw three different combinations of top four finishers, Kelly and Gordon reflect on what the season.  It's hard to believe that this was only one season, as it has felt like a two year slug through COVID.  As fans returned on the final day, the ESL all but dead, a united front against Social Media racism, we can only look forward with great anticipation to next season!  May Normalcy return! Before that though, we sit down and give our best and worst moments, teams, and players of 2020/21!  Grab a cold drink and relax, laugh with us, cry with us, and relive our favorite memories.  

A weekend of make-up games and week 37 lead to some incredible results.  The top 4 battle has hit the boiling point, and the goals were flying in.  We discuss the promotional play-offs, the FA Cup final, VAR to the max, and, sadly the retirement of Roy Hodgson.  As we set the stage for one of the most incredible final day top 4 battles of all time, pull up a chair, open a beer and join us as we try our best to contain our excitement. 

Best week ever?  If it wasn't then it was surely in the top five weekends of all time EPL history.  So many story-lines, so many results, we were simply overflowing with content in this episode.  Tuchel vs Pep has  hit an all-time tension point, just in time for the Champions League final *rubs hands and licks lips*.  We saw a few goal of the season candidates and more than a handful of 85+ min goals.  Man City were eventually crowned champions, Big Sam got relegated for the first time in his career, Fulham join Sheffield and West Brom, and the 4th place battle is at a boiling point.  Strap in, this one is a wild ride.  

Ok so yet another podcast is named after a name Kelly butchered, but this time I don't catch it and let's her run with it all podcast long.  Besides that, we talk Champions and Europa Leagues, what fans are demanding from ESL owners, and the HUGE event that unfolded before the eventual postponement of Man Utd vs Liverpool.  We dive into what the players must be feeling because I felt that no one cared about them.  We also get into the red cards, the old men scoring, and have a breakdown in the middle of the pod.  Tune in and have a laugh, this one gets silly.  

Well the mics have been sorted and the ESL has been put to bed (for now), time to return to business.  Unfortunately, the business this week was lacking a bit, and even the Carabao Cup Final failed to measure up to expectations.  However two men stood alone atop this week's episode, Thierry Henry, mentioned in three separate happenings, and Chris Wood who scored himself a beaut of a first half hatty.  We tip our hats to those men, have a drink for the goalie who scored in Scotland, and dig into who's going up and who's going down across England.  

Stop the presses! Wait, start them again.  In 72 hours the 12 teams the announced they were forming a breakaway league caused the biggest hell fire on Twiiter.  Both Kelly and I were GLUED to the updates, the memes, the rants, the confused fans.  We did our homework with the intention of breaking this league down so the masses could understand what was going on and how this league was going to affect the footballing world.  Fortunately for the world, unfortunately for our note taking, it all collapsed before we could record.  So this episode was dedicated the what happened in those fever-dream hours and what is to come.  We also welcome a special guest to talk us through what the communities closest to these clubs would be feeling.  Welcome to the SHIT SHOW!

WHHHAATTT?  It's crazier than VAR last weekend! That's right. we put an end to virtual pods!  We are once again in person.  This is the first time since the move that Kelly and I have hung out so we ramble a bit in the beginning but normal services resume.  We discuss the ongoing battle against racism, Mourinho vs Ole & son, and Leeds' epic display against the champions elect.   There was so much to talk about and we had so much energy that I decided to leave this one as unedited as possible.  It felt right to keep this one as authentic as possible to feel the difference the distance made! I hope you enjoy as much as we did. 

The RPL returned in blistering fashion. Many of us thought we'd see some sluggish football last weekend as the players returned from their grueling International Break travel.  We were dead wrong.  In typical DITBox manner, we do our best to wrangle a weekend in which every game vied for the most entertaining encounter, and every goal seemed to be better and more significant to the last.  God, we do love the run down of the league.  With 8 games remaining there is still soooo much to play for.  We also discuss Halaand's future again, as he plays hard to get in Spain, and Kelly recants her epic visit to The Great British Food Company in Colorado Springs.    Crack open a cold one and relive the action with us!
