In 2009 I spoke with herbalist Gail Julian about herbs for sleep and dreams. She shared some of her extensive knowledge about what to do in cases of anxiety, insomnia, and other nervous system upsets. Gail is on the faculty of the California School of Herbal Studies and has a private practice in Sebastopol, CA.

Dr. Sam Kimbles, psychologist, Jungian analyst, and immediate past president of the San Francisco Jung Institute, sat down with me to talk about Jung’s psychospiritual crisis and the origins of the Red Book. What follows is a personal story about how Jung’s process affected Dr. Kimbles, and why he is exploring the material in both lectures and workshops with the general public.
