Episode 19 - ***Leo's Favourites - The Faerie Thorn***
Welcome to Season 3 of Dragonfly Tales, a story podcast for children (and grown ups) of all ages. This is one of our FAVOURITE episodes - The Faerie Thorn. It is a tale from Northern Ireland about the mystical and magical Faerie Thorn tree.  I first heard the wonderful Liz Weir MBE tell a version of this at the Glens of Antrim Story Festival. Here is an extract from Jane Talbot’s wonderfully dark collection of fairy tales, The Faerie Thorn: ‘Now, if you don’t know about faerie thorns, you should. The Big People call these trees hawthorns, and in May you can see them scattering snow-blossoms in every direction. The Big People know that the Little People live in the roots of these trees, so the wisest Big People make sure that the faerie thorns are left well alone.    You can find photos of Leo's tree and the REAL Faerie Thorn in our Dragonfly Tales Podcast Group. Episode 1 - The Three Wonderful Gifts
Welcome to Season 3 of Dragonfly Tales, a story podcast for children (and grown ups) of all ages. We're back back back!  We hope you've had a lovely summer and are looking forward to some story fun.   We have so much planned for this season - more Leo's Top Fives, guest storytellers and, of course, our spooky Halloween and festive Holiday episodes! Our story this episode is an old Turkish tale, but there are variations from lots of different countries.  It is a quest story with lots of 3s in it.  How many 3s can you spot? Also, which brother gave the greatest gift?  We'd love you to vote in our Dragonfly Tales Podcast Group on Facebook Group. If you would like a SHOUT OUT this season, then you can get in touch with us HERE or in our Dragonfly Tales Podcast Group, telling us your first name, your age and your town. And if you like our podcast, please leave us a review (Apple is great). If you would like to donate a little something towards our second season, we would be so grateful.  You can donate to Dragonfly Tales Podcast by clicking here: DONATEYou can also follow us on:InstagramFacebook andTwitterThanks for listening! Theme Music by Leo Grazebrook on GarageBandStorytelling by Emily Hanna-Grazebrook at Tales from the DragonflyMusic from Free Music ArchiveProduced by Andy GrazebrookArt by Light CreativeSound effects by Zapsplat
