CFS School with Jennifer Mann
What is CFS School? In today’s episode, Jennifer Mann shares with us her own healing journey with CFS and how she is now using that journey to help others. Jenn is the co-founder of CFS school, which is a school focused on the mind-body connection to help people heal from chronic pain, fatigue, long covid, POTTS, and fibromyalgia conditions that, there are no good solutions for within the medical system.  Jenn was training to be a physiotherapist herself when she became bedbound with all sorts of ‘unexplained’ symptoms. She was told this was her new reality by medical specialists and colleagues. It was then she took matters into her own hands.  It was on her own healing journey she found what connected her symptoms, and indeed held the key to a full recovery. For Jenn, that was recognizing and working with the nervous system. She has now developed a 12-week program that has gone on to help hundreds if not thousands of people with mind-body health conditions. Listen in as Jenn and I talk about her battle with chronic illness, her healing journey, and how she can help others heal through the mind-body connection. Jenn takes us on a deep dive into the mind-body connection and chronic illness, you won’t want to miss out!   Ways to connect with Jenn: Instagram: @jcamylee

Let’s Talk About Death with Christina Watson
How do you view death and grief? Today, I am lucky to be joined by Christina Watson, who shares her perspective on death and grief. Christina wears many hats. She is a creative facilitator and worked in the charity sector, but I have brought her onto this podcast to talk about death because Christina wants to disrupt the way we relate to death as a society. She is creating purposeful peer groups known as huddles because she believes that our learning does not have to be limited to institutions and curriculum written by someone else. We can learn in creative ways in the community, especially when dealing with this theme. Christina first experienced death and grief at a young age, when she lost her Mom, and that loss helped shaped her view on death. She recognized how difficult it was for her to share or express her grief with others because of the uncomfortableness others displayed about her grief. This loss has birthed a deep curiosity about how society views and handles death and grief and how we can get reconnected to this part of life. Christina believes death is an opening to notice more widely the things we love and find the joy we do have in our lives. Listen in as Christina and I explore with curiosity the disconnect between death and grief, how Christina is disrupting the status quo on grief and death processing, and how she sees death as a great connector to the things we truly love. Doctors Discussing Disease-Care with Dr. Nicola Stoke
Today I am excited to be joined by Dr. Nic Stokes. Nic is a bit of a newfound kindred spirit. She is an Anaesthetic doctor working in London - who, like me - has started to deeply question the current disconnected, disembodied, disempowering western approach and her role within it. Nic is an anesthetic and intensive care doctor who has worked in the NHS for the last 8 years. Her early career has involved working in the field of global health, having worked in refugee camps in Greece, Uganda, and Bangladesh. This interest led her to start a radio show on London's SohoRadio 4 years ago called Global Health Global Beats, which intersperses music from around the world with conversations in healthcare.  She is now interested in how we give people the tools to be well and offload the healthcare systems. She has recently become a breathwork instructor and strongly believes that community saunas and breathwork are key components to improving people's health. Join Dr. Nic and I as we talk about how Nic has come to view the Western Medical System and the challenges of challenging that system. This is a thoughtful and connecting conversation you won’t want to miss out on!

Post-Partum Matters with Zoe Gardiner
There is a lot of support for babies after birth, but virtually nothing for the healing mother. Today I am excited to introduce Zoe Gardiner, as we discuss the importance of post-partum care for mothers. Zoe is a mother of two, a research scientist, and a post-partum activist. She is the Founder of Postpartum Matters, a not-for-profit organization working to share postpartum stories and to change the current model of health care which sees women regularly being discharged before they are ready. She is dedicated to creating this change while supporting those suffering through their experience. After having her second child, and being discharged just 10 days after, Zoe felt that things that were happening with her body were not normal, and she sought help. With many delays in receiving support, Zoe quickly realized that there is very little support for women postpartum. As an advocate for women’s health, Zoe shares her story of her post-partum journey and is opening space for others to do as well. Dr. Robert is the author of Heal Profoundly: A Graffiti Thug's Transformation to Holistic Doctor, an autobiography that tells the story of his spiritual journey from being a gang member to having a 20+ year successful career in medicine. Getting Sober For Her Skin with Janine Begley
Today’s episode is a seeker story with Janine Begley who is sharing her journey with Lichen Planus. Lichen planus is a rare chronic inflammatory disease affecting the skin and is thought to be auto-immune in nature. The trigger for outbreaks are unclear and may be viral. And this podcast is by no means to replace medical advice - please see a dermatologist if you have been diagnosed with this condition. We are sharing Janine’s story to give hope and inspiration to anyone suffering from a similar disease and who wants to explore a more holistic approach. Janine describes her symptoms and diagnosis as a wake-up call and even sees it as a gift that gave her an opportunity to slow down and take an honest look at her life. When first diagnosed she was prescribed several steroid creams to ease her symptoms. Ayahuasca and Grief Research with Débora Gonzales
Can Ayahuasca benefit your grieving process? Today I am thrilled to introduce you to Débora Gonzales, a leading researcher into the effects of Ayahuasca on the grieving process. In her research, Debora has found that Ayahuasca can have profound effects on the grieving process. In her study, she was seeking to make a loving connection between the participants and their deceased loved ones. Medical Cannabis with Mary Biles
What is Medical Cannabis? Today I have Mary Biles on the show to inform us about what Medical Cannabis is and how it can be added to your healthcare practices. Mary is the author of 'The CBD Book: The Essential Guide to CBD Oil', and regular contributing writer for the nonprofit Project CBD, and host of the podcast Cannabis Voices. She is a trusted voice in the cannabis industry both in Europe and around the globe and an advocate for greater access to medicinal cannabis, psychedelics, and plant medicine in general. Mary saw and has testimonials on how adding Medical Cannabis helped those patients in palliative care have a better quality of life in their remains days. She has since gone on to do much research on how Medical Cannabis can help with a multitude of symptoms and alignments. Listen in as Mary and I discuss what Medical Cannabis is, how it works with our natural endocannabinoid system, debunking some of the myths around Medical Cannabis, and how it can be brought to the attention of medical professionals to aid in your overall health and well-being.
