Episode 4 – Charlie From Fife
Born in 1969, Charlie grew up in a spot on the map called Fife. Straddling the Fulton-Fayette County line, calling Fife a whistle stop would be kind. Growing up in a time when Fayette county was still rural, Charlie watched his environs change from farmland to bedroom community for rapidly expanding Atlanta. In his teens, his father left his career in government and took over a local hardware store. It was here that Charlie learned the value of hard work and a dollar. Charlie was introduced to politics by his Uncle Frank and while attending the University of Georgia began his involvement in that world. Today, he is Editor-in-Chief of one the more prominent Georgia political blogs - Peach Pundit. I hope you enjoy the story of Charlie from Fife.

Episode 3 – Doug From Atlanta
Born in 1947, Doug grew up in Atlanta when people still kept cows in the yards in what is now Midtown. After his rowdy years in one of the best prep schools in the state, Doug traveled to Athens to attend the University of Georgia. During these years he developed a love of writing and journalism. A job with the wire services took him away from graduate school and across the south to cover a wide variety of stories. After years of writing, including two stints with the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Doug's journey took him to a place stranger than any he had seen. But eventually his love of Georgia brings him back to a place it all began. Enjoy Doug from Atlanta's story. Towards the end you will hear Doug talk fondly of Flannery O'Connor's home, Andalusia, just outside Milledgeville. Episode 2 – Gabriel From Milledgeville
Milledgeville is located in middle Georgia and was once the state Capital. It is the hometown of author Flannery O'Connor,  site of Georgia College and Central State Hospital. Central State Hospital features prominently in the story of Gabriel from Milledgeville. Born in 1975, Gabriel grew up in a time when Milledgeville was still a small town and entertainment was found in the creeks of nearby woods. His father, a native Georgian, grew up in the local family business. His mother grew up a bit farther away - in Castro's Cuba. In Gabriel's story, we discover how these two families became one.
