Episode 3 – Doug From Atlanta
Born in 1947, Doug grew up in Atlanta when people still kept cows in the yards in what is now Midtown.
After his rowdy years in one of the best prep schools in the state, Doug traveled to Athens to attend the University of Georgia. During these years he developed a love of writing and journalism. A job with the wire services took him away from graduate school and across the south to cover a wide variety of stories.
After years of writing, including two stints with the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Doug's journey took him to a place stranger than any he had seen. But eventually his love of Georgia brings him back to a place it all began.

Towards the end you will hear Doug talk fondly of Flannery O'Connor's home, Andalusia, just outside Milledgeville. For more information about Andalusia and their upcoming events, please visit their website - http://andalusiafarm.org/
