How I Am Getting Ready for 2023 - #170
hope everyone had an amazing Christmas Day! Mine was good. Living in California makes me even more grateful for the time I get to spend with my family in Seattle each December. In addition to the time I spend with family, there’s a lot of time for reflection. Three things have been on my mind this week; Navigating January - how do I get ahead of the hustle and bustle of a very busy month? How do I finish the year strong? What realistic goals do I have for 2023? Setting Your Intention for 2023 Be honest with yourself about the process of creating a new year resolution. Have you had success with consistency? Do you remember last years resolution? Was your progress “traceable?” Here’s my plan I’m going to identify a theme for the year. The theme will be driven by this question: A year from now, what are my expectations?” I’m going to identify quarterly focus areas. I’m going to create opportunities for quarterly retreats to revisit focus areas. I’m going to identify someone I trust to help me be accountable. I’m going to pray over my plans --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/seasonedwithsalt/support

I have been really inspired by Joshua Becker's "The Minimalist Home" and the "Our Minimalist Life" YouTube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/@TheArmsteadFamily Shout out to SpaceMatters for easy access to quotes from Becker's Book: https://myspacematters.com/30-minimalist-quotes/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=pinterest&utm_campaign=tailwind_tribes&utm_content=tribes&utm_term=633966936_24555842_591164 #Minimalism  --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/seasonedwithsalt/support

Pack Light: What to take and what to leave when you're moving forward #164 As I reflect on my own future, it occurred to me that some new opportunities I’ve been blessed with, have been clouded by old opportunities. Based on my experience, here are three things you can’t afford to pack when you decide to move forward: A commitment to tradition Friends and associates who don’t have a growth mindset Trauma from bad relationships and experiences --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/seasonedwithsalt/support

ARE YOU ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE FENCE? #162
Maybe your position is the problem? On Friday night, I decided to attend a high school football game in my neighborhood. By the second half, I made a few friends who were fathers of players sitting outside of the gate in lawn chairs. One of the dads was adamant that the team's inability to score was due to the fact that the starters were all sons of the coaches. After a bout 20 minutes of his complaints, I found myself deeply annoyed. How to Walk Through A Closed Door! #161
The doors were closed out of fear. The disciples were crippled by their inability to control what was next. Jesus uses the text to teach us that he doesn’t need an open door to appear in order for his will to be accomplished. Rest assured that with Jesus, the door is obsolete! seasonedwithsaltpodcast.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/seasonedwithsalt/support
