Today I sit down with Veteran Police K9 handler Steve Antommarchi. Steven Antommarchi's first encounter with a K-9 team was in New York City on September 11, 2001. He witnessed a search and rescue K-9 team fighting through horrible conditions. That encounter made such a profound impression on him that he knew what he wanted to do K9 for the rest of his life. Fifteen years later, in Dallas, Texas, on July 7, 2016, K-9 Officer Antommarchi found himself in the middle of the deadliest attack on law enforcement since 9/11. Tasked with the responsibility of clearing the downtown area for improvised explosive devices, the reason he got into working K-9s came full circle. Having been fortunate enough to be mentored by Tony Guzman and Bob Suarez Antommarchi’s career blossomed. My guest today is a former Army Infantry Soldier. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2008 and had a rowdy experience. Aside from being on the receiving end of over 200 shells and rockets in the form of indirect fire on their small patrol base nestled at the summit of a peak, he was injured by a direct rocket blast to his vehicle as a turret gunner. He sustained dozens of injuries including a left leg below the knee amputation and a major traumatic brain injury. He has since healed and moved on to becoming a professional dog trainer of working bite dogs and laces up the bite suit and works some of the hardest dogs on the planet. This has been my favorite podcast thus far and is action packed with many incredible life lessons and paths to healing. Please give it up for the great and powerful Will Word

Today I sit down with the man the myth and the legend! Navy Seal, and serial entrepreneur Mike Ritland! Mike spent over 12 years in the Seal Teams as an operator and BUDS Instructor. He then was medically retired from the US Navy from a fungal lung condition caused by the blowing winds of Iraq. He served combat tours as an operator and then finished his time out at BUDS. Joe Chamblin was a Marine Scout Sniper, and a Marine Scout Sniper Instructor! He went on multiple combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. At the end of his career as a Staff Sergeant he was the platoon commander for 3/2 scout sniper platoon where they deployed to Afghanistan. They changed the doctrine of the Scout Sniper and made history for integrating Scout Snipers and Tanks having devastating effect on the battlefield! with 200-300 CONFIRMED kills as a platoon, likely having hundreds more unconfirmed they made history. They had a private lunch with the Commandant of the Marine Corps, as well as the Sgt Major of the Marine Corps, for their gallant actions on the battlefield. They were then rocked by controversy after a video leaked, depicting Joe and his men pissing on deal Taliban fighters who had killed a few of their Marines. Their careers were ultimately affected, but they won their case and continue to crush life! Joe is also the author of "Into Infamy, a Marine Snipers War" where he goes into full detail of his men's accomplishments, and the incident that forever altered their lives! This is a powerful podcast, with many war stories and gruesome details of the reality of WAR.
