The same Holy Spirit who moved the original writers of the Bible to write the things they did, is well able to help us understand what He has given to us.

When a plane comes to land, it needs to have the correct angle of approach to do so safely. Likewise with how we approach The Bible, which is all about the attitude of our heart.

It is important to remind ourselves that we will only ever get everything God wants us to get from His Word, when we remember that reading it is actually meeting Jesus.

The Bible is not so much a book to be studied but the meeting point with a person. Good questions to ask yourself while reading the Bible are, 'Where is Jesus in what I am reading?' and 'What aspect of Jesus does this show me?'

When we say the Bible is 'inspires' we don't just mean that it's a books that inspires us. It is a way of saying that God is the author of the Bible...
