This week, Hip and Cal talk about the end of Stevie G's playing career in Commerce City, Colorado just like he imagined. Nacho Piatti gives us the quote of the year after scoring a brace in Harrison, NJ. The Red Bulls start losing at the wrong time, but "everything is bad" in the Bronx except for the chicken buckets. The guys also congratulate Brian Schmetzer on winning the head coaching job for a team he used to play indoor soccer for.

The playoff rounds are set. Join Hip and Cal as they recap Decision Day, bid adieu to the eliminated teams, and preview the Knockout Round matchups. Back from Copa America break, Hip and Cal talk about some early US Open Cup results, a nice crowd in Sandy unfazed by emergency alarms, the next move of the Red Bulls' worst-to-first season, Chicago Fire schadenfreude, and the Rapids' lack of style points. No talk at all about the 0-0s.

This week, Dollar Dog Night goes as planned in Philadelphia, Paul Mariner and Brad Feldman resolve the Bob vs. Bobby Shuttleworth debate, Crew SC continue to struggle without their yellow kits, RSL look for Herriman Messi, Cal names his dog Gruezo and takes a side in the de Jong debate.
