There is a competition and you do not know how value that you hold. The value is not in your education or experience it is in how much you value yourself. Money is outward expression of what you are doing or not doing. We use net worth and self worth and think they are the same and that they are connected. We become wiser in what projects we can afford and those we do not. Unfinished projects lead to unfinished things and we regret the things we do not finish. Surround yourself with a good team to finish the things you finish!

Wealth is more than just money. Money is a component of wealth. Not everyone who is wealthy has lots of money laying around, The only way veterans are going to get into the middle class and upper class is to change their perspective on those who are wealthy. Good Marketing! We are constantly being marketed to, however we don't market each other as well as corporations do. Marketing is a great and wonderful tool. Veterans are consumers of credit, money and things, As are most people in the world. A veteran financial life is as chaotic as their personal lives and just as stressful. Missing Obvious! People can not look past the things we purchase. We need to look 3 to 4 purchases ahead and then we can truly make money work for us. The New Shiny! The new shiny thing are fun. We never remember what it took to get that money in the first place. The people we served and how hard we worked to make money. Spending is always easier than saving. If you really want something wait a month and find the best price. Trust me in one year or less there will be something new, a new shiny perhaps.
