This week we’re pitting Cinderella’s Night Songs against Tesla’s Mechanical Resonance. Cinderella from Philadelphia and Tesla from Sacramento both took America by storm in 1986/1987 and became MTV darlings in the process. Today we go song for song to see which band had the best debut. Today we are revisiting an episode we did 100 episodes ago, but we’re approaching it from a different angle. 2 years ago on Episode 18, we did KISS – Masked vs. Unmasked and we focused more on the music side of the story.  This time, we’re taking it from a more personal point of view. In this week's episode, we take a look back at one of metal's most eclectic artists and the 2 albums he made with 2 different bands. In 1996, Sepultura released Roots, their final album with Max Cavalera on vocals and rhythm guitar. 2 years later, Max returned with his own band Soulfly and their debut release, Soulfly.  Both albums used tribal rhythms as their foundation.  And both albums showcased their groove metal styles, but only one can be considered better than the other.
