Bright Line Eating with Shayla
Our relationship with food and to our bodies can be a layered topic. For some navigating this relationship can lead to many ups and downs on and off the scale.  Today's conversation with Shayla Nygaard explores Bright Line Eating, an eating plan both she and Nameh have found great 'success' with. Dr. Susan Peirce Thompson designed Bright Line Eating and offers deeply personal, intellectually satisfying and a comprehensive plan to shift our relationship with food.  This conversation touches on food addiction, unpacked elements behind why one might over eat and the felt difference when one's food relationship is more balanced. The movie, To the Bone (2017) addresses individuals navigating eating disorders. Nameh found the movie deeply raw, intense and clarifying.   Resources: Bright Line Eating (eating plan) - https://brightlineeating.com/ Path of Love (spiritual retreat) - https://pathretreats.com/ The Gift (spiritual retreat) - http://shematrix.com/the-gift/ To the Bone (movie) - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5541240/ Audio: Inspiring Acoustic Guitar by Victory Audio Pitter Patter Goes the Rain by Christy Nockels - https://bit.ly/2Kskbbg

Good Ending - 2020 year end edition
Nameh returns to an earlier Dare to Listen episode focusing on giving ourselves a Good Ending among life's changes. Given all that's been within 2020, life has drastically changed for so many of us.  As we each experience life and the often unanswered questions, perhaps in saying goodbye to a loved one who passed and/or left abruptly, a relationship change or a pandemic causing our lives to upend moving into what we notice and feel can be a way to bring ourselves a 'good ending.' This episode is with Nameh's dear friend Sahar. Nameh was unaware of the potent death of Sahar's childhood friend. Sahar vulnerably shares what was present for him. How numbing was a resource in navigating grief.  The 5Rhythms community introduced Nameh to the concept 'good ending,' as in how can we give ourselves a good ending. This episode includes questions that might assist in knowing what elements could support a Good Ending. Abandonment Wound with Vasumati Hancock
Today's conversation focuses on the complexities of the abandonment wound. Vasumati (Vasu) Hancock has spent 40 years understanding emotions and sexuality, working with individuals and couples. Her passion for clarity and the empowerment that comes through knowing ourselves is palpable. She's a therapist and tantra teacher with a great depth of wisdom.    Vasu defines the types of abandonment and how these wounds play out in our relationships. Within relationships we might see the duality of a dependent or an anti-dependent. How these two approaches translate in meeting our needs. How fear can be a doorway to deepen intimacy. Relationships can be the deep place of healing.   Editing this episode, I realized a truth. Society have abandoned marginalized communities. I include myself here. The lived Black, Indigenous, people of color, and LGBTQI experiences have not been acknowledged and given the needed care. I offer this framing so you can tune into the truth of this additional abandonment. Trevor Noah expanded my awareness in his May 29, 2020 18 min piece. Conscious Marketing with Guillermo Tilley
Guillermo ("G") Tilley joins today's episode to offer his perspective on event planning, marketing and digital clutter. He has over 30 years experience supporting people to find their path, developing their marketing plans gracefully and putting on successful events.     The conversation touches on the age old story of who wins the race, the turtle or the hare? G finds taking a methodical, slow - human pace approach exploring the 'why's' helps clarify and bring others along into the plan.    What G offers in his wisdom and expertise is the luscious space to include others and enjoy the process. Identifying where there are fears and addressing them consciously. Especially given the current state of life, quarantining and business 're-booting' the need for clarity might be the exact best next step.    Resources:  Guillermo Tilley - https://www.guillermo-me.io/ Audio - Looking for Adventure by Tim McMorris

Why We Do What We Do, Part 2 - Opening Opportunities
Nameh talks with Robert Volinsky a body mind therapist and Inner Space Therapy Practitioner. This two-parter brings us towards answering, ‘why we do what we do.’ Part 2 highlights opportunities to open as we experience life. The conversation explores more about how trauma and our experiences can cause a closing. How choosing to move into the closing can bring us to a place of opening. The Part 2 conversation includes many beautiful experiences Robert had soon after his father's passing.  In the previous, Part 1 episode, the conversation explores Inner Space Therapies (IST), a meditation based past life therapy technique, which helps source our reactions to bring clarity and identify the true self underneath our personalities and emotional reactions. Nameh met Robert when he facilitated a meditation and transformation workshop at the Clairvision School using this technique. Robert and Nameh also explore the Clairvision School's distinction between our emotions and Feelings, capital F.  The show offers many examples of the discoveries that can come when exploring past lives through this meditation based approach.     Due to the explicit nature in parts of the conversation, examples of trauma and violence, please know some this conversation might not be suitable for everyone.
