After a long and completely unacceptable break, we are back with something new! Last year I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Mr. Bradley Angle from the Dirty Sailor Company. He reached out to me after listening to the podcast and we had a great interview and discussed sailing history, the maritime industry, his company, and his new book “Shipmates: Before the Mast” which was released about a year ago so make sure to check it out!

We will cover a range of options such as Cameron’s balls to the wall approach or a more tailored approach such as taking an American Sailing Association or US Sailing Association class. Part 2 of our boat buyers guide is not so much limited anymore to sailboats as we tackle what to look for in any diesel or outboard engine when doing a cursory inspection. There are so many moving parts to maintain which is probably one of the biggest things that require attention and care, so come join as we discuss engines, driveshafts, electrical systems, and some basic physics that will help you get acquainted to an important aspect of the boating world while we sip on some rum!
