Black Murder Porn
Hey everyone, thanks for listening to this episode. Just a few things I wanted to share in regards to this episode. This brutality does happen to black women as well, but unfortunately the media usually portrays stories of these occurrences with black men more often and in this episode I am talking about the repeating images, and messages which usually center around black men, so that it why I may say men or reference black men more in the episode. This is not to say that black women should be excluded from this conversation, or that this does not happen to black women as well. The name of the slave revolt in Louisiana is called the 1811 slave revolt. Again, thanks for listening!

Mysterious Deaths of Black Men found hanged on trees
Thank you guys for tuning in. This episode was created to bring attention to the mysterious deaths of black men whose bodies were found hanging on trees. Listen as we talk about these men, and the historical and social climate of today and past America as they relate to these situations. It’s a tough conversation to have, but a very necessary conversation. Let's get started and continue to educate. I also want to give credit to Stacy Patton and Maya Lau, Alene Tchekmedyian, Leila Miller, Matt Hamilton, and Dorany Pineda who wrote the articles I read for this episode. The Ride or Die Complex
This episode was published a week later due to the #PODCASTBLACKOUT protest With the pressure from society to be in a relationship, many people force themselves to stay in unhealthy situations. Unfortunately, many of these people happen to be women. Hear where this pressure comes from, and how we can acknowledge this and not fall victim to it. Trying to be a ‘ride or die’ partner can cause people to lose and sacrifice themselves. Just make sure the person you ridin’ for is ridin’ for you as well.
