Ken and I had St Patty's Day with a lil green PBR and some Rory's Story Cubes. Patrick couldn't make it so the alternative title for this episode is "Patrick isn't here and he's a dumb butt"   But all kidding aside we had a great assortment of stories to tell thanks to the story cubes Ken procured from the local Target. We learned that David can't pull off an Irish accent and that Ken has a thing for mixing Trump and Sanders voices together. All in all, it was a good night.    Enjoy!

EP 36 - Christians and Liberty
Caryn Ann Harlos is communications director for the Libertarian party of Colorado and the Colorado state coordinator of the Libertarian Party Radical caucus. She’s also region 1 representative of the Libertarian National Committee, representing Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Kansas, Montana,Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. A quick Google search defines libertarianism as “an extreme laissez-faire political philosophy advocating only minimal state intervention in the lives of citizens.” Anarcho-capitalism is defined as “(also known as “libertarian anarchy” or “market anarchism” or “free market anarchism”) is a libertarian and individualist anarchist political philosophy that advocates the elimination of the state in favor of individual sovereignty in a free market.” For those who are still struggling, the DNC can be defined as “more govt involvement to fix the world is a good thing”, the GOP can be defined as “5-10% less govt involvement than the DNC is a good thing”, and the LP can be defined as “little to no govt involvement is a good thing.” Why is that - you know what your needs are and how to best meet them yourself and the govt can’t do that and shouldn’t do that. LP statement of principles - “We hold that all individuals have the right to exercise sole dominion over their own lives, and have the right to live in whatever manner they choose, so long as they do not forcibly interfere with the equal right of others to live in whatever manner they choose.”   This episode we are going to discuss a few major points: Top misconceptions/myths about libertarianism  How is libertarianism different from conservatism? What is wrong with the GOP party that the libertarian party had to be formed back in the 70s and is growing?   Libertarians seem like they live in their ivory towers with their noses in the air questioning all of the “experts” while having no clue what they are talking about or offering any solutions...what is their deal? Why can’t they make their message easy to understand and their goals something tha

EP 30 - Transhumanism, Christianity, Tech and Science
Let's make mortality optional - is this good for Christians to support or not?   The Wikipedia on Transhumanism is, "an international and intellectual movement that aims to transform the human condition by developing and making widely available sophisticated technologies to greatly enhance human intellectual, physical, and psychological capacities.[1][2] Transhumanist thinkers study the potential benefits and dangers of emerging technologies that could overcome fundamental human limitations, as well as the ethics[3] of using such technologies.[4] The most common transhumanist thesis is that human beings may eventually be able to transform themselves into different beings with abilities so greatly expanded from the natural condition as to merit the label of posthuman beings."   We discuss if this is an anti-Christian movement or if Christians can work alongside transhumanists to potentially live forever via science and tech.
