Fix Your Heart
Fix Your HeartA Journey Through Psalm 37 What are you fixing your heart on? Where do you need to turn your attention towards Jesus today? By His Spirit comes wisdom and understanding. He is everlasting and faithful in His promises. Don’t follow after the wicked ones or be jealous of their wealth.Don’t think for a moment they’re better off than you. They and their short-lived successwill soon shrivel up and quickly fade away, like grass clippings in the hot sun.Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes.Fix your heart on the promises of God, and you will dwell in the land, feasting on his faithfulness.Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh, and he will give you what you desire the most. - Psalm 37:1-4 TPT Do not fret because of evildoers,Be not envious toward wrongdoers. For they will wither quickly like the grassAnd fade like the green herb.Trust in the Lord and do good;Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart. - Psalm 37:1-4 NASB May you learn to feast on God’s faithfulness. Embrace - What is Your Word?
EmbraceWhat is Your Word? Have you ever hugged someone whose arms hang limp as if trying to ward off your affection? Let us not respond to the embrace of God’s word the same Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let his Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life!. - James 1:22 TPT Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus—all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts! And in love he chose us before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, he ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence. For it was always in his perfect plan to adopt us as his delightful children, through our union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that his tremendous love that cascades over us would glorify his grace —for the same love he has for the Beloved, Jesus, he has for us. And this unfolding plan brings him great pleasure! - Ephesians 1:3-5-6 TPT Embrace works both ways. Will you allow yourself to be embraced by the lavish love of God, while simultaneously locking your arms around it, never letting go?Thank You!Becoming a Patron If you are one of the many who have been blessed by Cultivate Connection, please consider becoming a monthly patron. Perspective - What is Your Word?
PerspectiveWhat is Your Word? A new position provides a new perspective, and what better position than being seated with Christ in Heavenly places. Thank you to Susi for sending in this week's word. Thanks Susi! But God, with the unfathomable richness of His love and mercy focused on us, united us with the Anointed One and infused our lifeless souls with life—even though we were buried under mountains of sin—and saved us by His grace. He raised us up with Him and seated us in the heavenly realms with our beloved Jesus the Anointed, the Liberating King. - Ephesians 2:4-6 VOICE Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. - Colossians 3:1-3 NLT What is your current perspective of the world around you? Your family, job, nation? How does God want to change your perspective today? May you begin to see things on earth as it is in Heaven. P.S. There’s still time to send in your words! Abide - What is Your Word?
AbideWhat is Your Word? Welcome to week 3 of our 12 week series. This week’s word is Abide, and was sent in by Trina on Instagram. Thanks Trina! God is calling you to abide in Him, and as you allow the vinedresser to prune as He sees necessary, you will bear much fruit. I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. - John 15:1-11 NASB 1995 Where is God pruning in your life? Receive - What is Your Word?
ReceiveWhat is Your Word? This week’s word was sent in by Sherry. Receive is a verb, an action word with many meanings.  Mostly, it involves taking in and accepting something. One definition is to give permission to enter. Are you willing to fully receive the gifts He has for you? For we should not try to open each, picking and choosing only the things we fancy, while discarding those that do not appeal to us. As we meditate on several versus, reflect on your current capacity to receive from God. "Truly, truly I say to you, the one who receives anyone I send, receives Me; and the one who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.” - John 13:20 NASB “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, it will be opened.” - Luke 11:9-10 NASB And whoever receives one such child in My name, receives Me. - Matthew 18:5 NASB I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. - Mark 11:23-24 NLT And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give. - Matthew 10:7-8 NASB What does it look like for you to fully receive Jesus and all that He has for you? FlourishWhat is Your Word? Our first word for 2022 was sent in by Barb and it is the word flourish. God isn't wanting us just to be happy, He desires us to flourish! It is an active word, it is overflowing. Barb shared "I crave for the Holy Spirit to flourish in me and all this year." What a beautiful prayer.  But the godly will flourish like palm trees    and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house.    They flourish in the courts of our God.Even in old age they will still produce fruit;    they will remain vital and green. They will declare, “The Lord is just!    He is my rock!    There is no evil in him!” -Psalm 92:12-15  NLT Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example],Nor stand in the path of sinners,Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). But his delight is in the law of the Lord,And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water,Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].  - Psalm 1:1-3 AMP To flourish is to grow or develop in a healthy vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly favourable environment. Light Overcomes Darkness
Light Overcomes Darkness Sometimes, victory goes to the wicked. At least that’s the way it seems when we look through our own eyes, relying on our own understanding. Isn’t it interesting how 2,500 years since David put pen to paper the world around us seems to have stayed the same in many regards. Fortunately for us, we can draw from history to see how God causes nations to rise and fall, and brings justice to the wicked. As we draw this series to a close, we revisit Psalm 27 in its entirety. Stand firm and courageous by knowing the truth that God is our defender, our shelter, and our retreat. No matter what’s taking place, His light overcomes darkness. The Eternal is my light amidst my darknessand my rescue in times of trouble.    So whom shall I fear?He surrounds me with a fortress of protection.    So nothing should cause me alarm.I will move past my enemies with this one, sure hope:    that with my own eyes, I will see the goodness of the Eternal    in the land of the living. - Psalm 27:1&13 VOICE Thank you for being with us. Confident in God’s Love and Power

Breathe In Breathe Out
Breathe In Breathe Out Adopted as sons and daughters, you are on this planet to release God’s kingdom. May He fill you to overflowing, blessing all who encounter you. Although my father and my mother have abandoned me,Yet the Lord will take me up [adopt me as His child]. Teach me Your way, O Lord, And lead me on a level pathBecause of my enemies [who lie in wait]. Do not give me up to the will of my adversaries,For false witnesses have come against me;They breathe out violence. - Psalm 27:10-12 (AMP) Is there anywhere you’ve been abandoned? What is God teaching you in this season? Be blessed to know what it means to be adopted by God.Thank You!Becoming a Patron If you are one of the many who have been blessed by Cultivate Connection, please consider becoming a monthly patron. An Invitation
An Invitation Is there an area in your life you need to cry out to the Lord? Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud;Be gracious and compassionate to me and answer me. When You said, “Seek My face [in prayer, require My presence as your greatest need],” my heart said to You,“Your face, O Lord, I will seek [on the authority of Your word].” Do not hide Your face from me,Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help;Do not abandon me nor leave me,O God of my salvation! - Psalm 27:7-9 (AMP) I bless you to cry aloud where you need to. To find your voice and speak out what’s on your heart to the Lord.Thank You!Becoming a Patron If you are one of the many who have been blessed by Cultivate Connection, please consider becoming a monthly patron. I Will Sing
I Will Sing Will you choose to enter into the house of the Lord? To seek refuge from the storms of life. To sit in a place of peace in His presence. It is one of His greatest gifts to us. His house is my shelter and secret retreat.    It is there I find peace in the midst of storm and turmoil.Safety sits with me in the hiding place of God.    He will set me on a rock, high above the fray.God lifts me high above those with thoughts    of death and deceit that call for my life.I will enter His presence, offering sacrifices and praise.    In His house, I am overcome with joyAs I sing, yes, and play music for the Eternal alone. - Psalm 27:5-6 (VOICE) Blessing your spirit to come alive as you discover the worth and greatness of God. Allow praise and thanksgiving to roll off your tongue as you make music for the Eternal One!Thank You!Becoming a Patron If you are one of the many who have been blessed by Cultivate Connection, please consider becoming a monthly patron. One Thing I Desire
One Thing I Desire King David earnestly sought to dwell in the house of the Lord, and now we have become a dwelling place for the Lord. We are with Him and He is with us. How beautiful is that? I am pleading with the Eternal for this one thing,    my soul’s desire:To live with Him all of my days—    in the shadow of His temple,To behold His beauty and ponder His ways    in the company of His people. - Psalm 27:4 (VOICE) Holy Spirit, where we’ve been seeking the things of this world, give us a desire to seek you. Give us hearts like David, set on one thing, your presence. Blessings to you dear listener, that you would become known for seeking God above all else.Thank You!Becoming a Patron If you are one of the many who have been blessed by Cultivate Connection, please consider becoming a monthly patron.
