What do you NEED to STOP, NOT DO or REMOVE?
Ep 110 What do you need to STOP, NOT DO or REMOVE? Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let us dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. Hey All, Quick update for you on what is going on here, it feels like the “Quickening” for those who have seen Highlander. This house is very nearly there are a few days left which means we need to get our belongings out, ready for the next people to move in where we currently are. It is a busy time, and I am feeling it, not quite overwhelm, as I know it’ll get done, definitely a sense of pressure though, I wonder how much of that is self-imposed? I have also noticed I have detached mentally, again! I think it is a way I use to cope, to avoid stresses of the ‘shoulds’. Either way I am paying attention to it because I am aware it can impact how I engage with my family, a sense of feeling distanced is my warning feeling, and that feeling is here. I will let you listen in to hear more. I will keep you updated of this journey I am on. Thanks for listening today. What did you find most useful? Which actionable information will you utilise TODAY?  OR, Will you keep things as they are?  If you are inspired to help others, can I ask you to bring 1 listener to the show? This helps to grow the community and find the ears of those who may need the message, to not give up, keep moving forward no matter the speed and KNOW settling is not a choice which leads to fulfilment. The Final Lesson, processing grief and finding a level with Chris Brennan PART 1
Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let us dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. Hey All, This is a catch up with Chris Brennan, Part 1 of 2. If you listen to the end you will hear why. As is mentioned in the show we first connected early 2019, at a London Real event. It was a unique introduction, though grateful for the connection with a beautiful soul. 2019 has brought a tonne of change for Chris, in all areas of live. Self-aware enough to understand the learning opportunity within this he goes all in, as he does. Using his words, he is in a moment of “pregnant stillness”, which I love the potential of, though the unknown can be scary, the alternative comfort for him is not an option. Let us dive into this week’s show, Chris, Welcome to the show. Please reach out to Christo here: https://www.facebook.com/christo.brennan.5 Thanks for listening today. What did you find most useful? Increasing synergy at home, the struggle in implementing a homeschooling routine that fits.
Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let us dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. Hey All, My biggest struggle since lockdown has been to be able to draw a line between home-schooling my children in a way that fits US. As opposed to traditional education, Maths/English, Science etc. Not that these topics are not discussed more that they are integrated into the tasks we choose to undertake, so cooking for example encompasses aspects of the following, science, maths, English, and doesn’t feel like learning. Having discussed with my wife and children the expectations that we are not going to fit the bill for them, so 18 years old and gaming while I work is not going to happen unless they have a means of income coming in to the house. In this episode I have my youngest on, Roman and we discuss a gaming channel that he wants to start, best thing is we love gaming together and sometimes big brother joins in too.   I’ll let you listen in to hear more, I will keep you updated of this journey I am on. Thanks for listening today. What did you find most useful? Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let us dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.   Increase perspective 2.   Expand Perception 3.   Allow you to change your reality. Hey All, I’ve been struggling, been in what seemed like an unfathomable funk last few days, culminating in an action. We can often wait for it to lift, we are so often told this is a negative emotion, I believe there are no negative emotions, they are ALL emotions. Without the contrast we would have no awareness of when the good times are happening. Knowing this, life is conspiring for me, to move me forward giving insights as to where to go next. I’ll let you listen in to hear more, as I keep you updated of this journey I am on. Thanks for listening today. What did you find most useful? Focus on what YOU can control
Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let us dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. A few calls today raised awareness of increased times of anxiety, fear and uncertainty. I have found for myself that when these emotions come up there is invariably something missing from the information I need, so emotions show up to guide me as to what is required. For me being scared tells me I need to understand something more, more info required, anxiety is about being prepared, have I done all I can? Its easy for us to get stuck in the problem frame when these emotions show up, however, each event or issue we come across has an opportunity attached, ALWAYS. The problem is are we in the right place mentally to see it? So how can we see it? I’ll let you listen in to hear more. I will keep you updated of this journey I am on. Thanks for listening today. What did you find most useful? Which actionable information will you utilise TODAY?  OR, Will you keep things as they are?  If you are inspired to help others, can I ask you to bring 1 listener to the show? Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock on the door will be open to you.
Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let us dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. New awareness’s are coming daily. Of myself and how I am shaping my reality with my actions. Question now is what do I want so I can set the actions that will achieve it? Had this verse from Luke come into my awareness today, “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock on the door will be open to you; For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Luke 11:5-9 I am incredibly open minded with religion and open to all sorts of spiritual teachings. This one really resonated though; life has felt more than ever that it is conspiring for me. I have caught myself going to take opportunities out of fear or scarcity mindset, which is a difficult thing to break after all I am having been around it and practicing it since I was 6-7 years old. Doors are opening for me, in ways I could not have written or imagined, I am connecting with people that are edging me closer to my goal, through being me. I have asked, and events are now in motion to conspire for me, these are exciting times on all fronts. It would be easy for me to be gripped by the fear around Covid and stay stuck, locked down in inaction. I CHOOSE NOT to do that, maintain my focus on what I can control, because those that can still act towards the future they want in these times are in a better place mentally, Physically and Emotionally. What 1 thing, that if you focused upon it would tip the first domino of change for you? What is the smallest action you can take, a decision, a step? See how small you can make it, execute it, and see how you feel. I will keep you updated of this journey I am on. Thanks for listening today. What did you find most useful? Which actionable information will you utilise TODAY?  OR, Will you keep things as they are?  If you are inspired to help others, can I ask you to bring 1 listener to the show? Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt = Procrastination
Ep 103 Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt = PROCRASTINATION Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let us dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. Two Weeks have flown by already, my apologies. I have not posted as I assess whether the show is still filling me or is it something I need to let slip as I focus my energy on other aspects aligned with mine and my families goal. Sometimes pressing pause and assessing where you are at, AM I HAPPY, DO I ENJOY THIS? Are questions we rarely take time to answer as we are off in pursuit of the next thing. STOP. Ask yourself. What is it I love to do? For me the last 2 weeks as I have focused in on making my coaching practice profitable, has culminated in a bold move, one I have not done before. I’ll let you listen in to hear more I will keep you updated of this journey I am on. Thanks for listening today. What did you find most useful? Get Perspective. Sit, Ask, Listen
Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let us dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. Been a trying week this week as I been seeking new and alternative ways to engage with my eldest son. I undertook NLP, to improve my relationship with him, as most communications led to arguments. We are not there any more thankfully, being aware of the outcome you want from any communication is a key component, which impact what is said and how it is said. As my trainer, Matt Caulfield taught me, the meaning of the communication is the response you get. This serves me well daily, and the pause before the thought of what I am saying, has saved me many a time. I will keep you updated of this journey I am on. Thanks for listening today. What did you find most useful? Which actionable information will you utilise TODAY?  OR, Will you keep things as they are?  If you are inspired to help others, can I ask you to bring 1 listener to the show? There is Power in Sharing
Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let us dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. Bringing awareness this week to something I am seeing in the conversations I am having. I’ve been struggling this week to get the home-school situation, in a state that feels structured. In all honesty I have always been pretty laissez faire as this was my wife’s domain, though working from home has taught me more about myself, in particular I need a structure and a routine around the home-schooling to remove the feeling of anxiety about “Am I doing all I can to help them?”, “Am I a poor Dad for not having this figured out?”, the list went on. Truth is anxiety is a gift and when I was able to reflect on what it (anxiety) may be trying to tell me, I understood that, I can’t possibly know how to do this either right or effectively as I have never done this before, seems quite obvious now, lol. Had I been aware of this and then choosing not to act would be me heading towards the thoughts above. As I mentioned last week, in Permission to Dream helping my children plot a course any for now that can point to a future goal, will serve them well for clarity and in turn their focus. All this being said I would not have been able to get to this point without someone to run my emotions and issues past, queue my mentor Chris Niemeyer, who assisted with helping me create great clarity around this and gaining some great insights into about what may help, Thank you Chris! Permission to Dream
From my own personal experience, having consumed numerous personal development books, I always skipped the exercises as they seemed to assume a certain mindset to engage with it, which I did not have. Sometimes as parents, we are so focused on providing for our families that our own personal fulfilment does not really come into it. For me, my children hitting around 6 or 7 years of age started me thinking about my own endeavours in life. What was missing for me from the Design your Perfect Day, was understanding what that looked like, what did I enjoy? What made me smile? What might I need to put in my day to make it perfect? Permission to dream, is about self-discovery and awareness, making time for yourself to understand who you are, what makes you tick. Getting this step down makes the next part easier, now you have some things to plug into that perfect day. I will keep you updated of this journey I am on. Thanks for listening today. What did you find most useful? Which actionable information will you utilise TODAY?  OR, Will you keep things as they are?  If you are inspired to help others, can I ask you to bring 1 listener to the show? Frustration has a PURPOSE
Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let's dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. Our recent Adventure is being digested. This week has seen me extremely frustrated, my focus pointing out everything I do not want, from the British weather, to the lack of a pool, to a life that feels more complicated here. Fast forward a couple of days, I am now in a space where I am planning how I can achieve the things I want. Without the frustration we lose the ability to search for a solution, we maintain the status quo, discontent, and unhappiness. We all have things that are not quite how we want in the present, what defines and shapes our futures is our actions to attain the change we seek. A client recently told me CHANGE is hard, is it? How do you know? What if it was not? What if…. That was story you were telling yourself, so you did not have to anything, so you could blame others for the way your life was, because deep down your afraid of failing, maybe success. Stories in your head…Keeping you safe and comfortable. Or it may be blame which leads one place, disappointment, the expectation of others to change themselves or your environment for you. Break this toxic cycle, this is your life, your family, your dreams and aspirations, what would you tell your children to do? I’ll keep you updated of this journey I’m on. Thanks for listening today. What did you find most useful? Which actionable information will you utilise TODAY?  OR, Will you keep things as they are?  If you're inspired to help others, can I ask you to bring 1 listener to the show? New Adventures Unfolding
Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let's dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. New adventures are the topic for today, which would require a massive change in mindset, lifestyle and relationships. Recording this from Bulgaria, home of my in laws. This trip has already blown my mind with the potential to leverage the lifestyle and the environment to bring about the changes we want for our family. Outdoor living, fresh fruit and vegetables on your door step, literally, pool, health graft to in the form of building or rebuilding what is currently there. Going to go next door now and size up the property to understand what we could do with the space and understand what the layout may look like. I’ll keep you updated of this journey I’m on. Whats Your Body Trying To TELL you?
Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let's dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. Been another interestingly busy and thought-provoking week. This week has been a culmination of what I have been mulling over the last few weeks/months, As I have navigated the different trials that have come my way. It's odd, to look back on an episode 3 weeks past, to see what was going on for me then. In the process of stepping back and assessing. The assessments having been made and the subsequent changes implemented, my body this week has felt like the wheels have come, which is crazy as that is exactly what happened with my bike, lol. I was forced to slow, which has been difficult with my natural default to want to get to the end point as quickly as possible. I was obviously not paying attention, to the smaller messages I was being sent. One of my daily affirmations is: “Everything is always working out for me”, another is “I know when I am aligned”, this only occurring to me on reflection? The only way I may understand that I am not aligned is by how I feel physically, which is impacted by the Emotionally/Mentally/Spiritual bodies too. Your body is a beautiful, amazing complex system. I think I am going to listen more intently to the messages it sends me. I’ll keep you updated of this journey I’m on. Thanks for listening today. What did you find most useful? Which actionable information will you utilise TODAY?  OR, Will you keep things as they are?  If you're inspired to help others, Can i ask you to bring 1 listener to the show? This helps to grow the community and find the ears of those who may need the message, to not give up, keep moving forward no matter the speed and KNOW settling is not a choice which leads to fulfilment. Scratching the surface with my 15 year old son, A journey to improve a relationship
Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let's dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. This week on the show I have, my son McKenzie Ingram. Leader on ARK, avid gamer, guitarist, fisherman. This episode is me trying to gain further understanding of him and his thinking so that I can increase the outcome of what I want which is a closer relationship. Sometimes those we love the most can trigger us the most, I know I can certainly trigger him generally when he has not followed through or has breached a boundary which we touch on here.  If we can think about and respond with greater efficiency to those who are around us the most (parents/ siblings/ work/ colleagues, etc) the happier we will be in our environments.   Mckenzie, Welcome to the show, You can connect with Mckenzie here; https://www.instagram.com/mckenzie0ingram/?hl=en Thanks for listening today. How to move FORWARD by stepping back.
This week has been a culmination of what I’ve been mulling over the last few weeks/months, As I have navigated the different trials that have come my way. Keen a you can imagine getting things off and running as I no longer have a regular income, from a job. I have since Covid continued to invest in myself through courses, and coaching. I have found myself focusing on building the reward for the now, (Just writing this opens my eyes a little more), short term wealth. Which has left a gaping hole in my long term plan, so I’m stepping back to understand that sometimes you need to make the space to assess and adjust so that you can pivot as necessary, which is exactly what I intend to do. Dads Gone, Yet I’ve No Regrets.
Hello, I am Joel Ingram and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let's dive into this week's talk and help to: 1.    Increase perspective 2.    Expand Perception 3.    Allow you to change your reality. Solo episode this week, Wanted to share my perspective on the passing of a parent. I had to say goodbye to a best friend, mentor, guide, Dad who was always there, and doting Tampoo (Grandfather). I’m still grieving as I will be for a time, though where I choose to place my focus is: ·       on the appreciation of having known him, ·       the love and respect I had for him, ·       the honour of being able to help him ·       and the gratitude for being there to the last second, holding his hand as he passed. He was a LEGEND and a LION, he knew his own mind and lived his life on his terms. I hope you can take something from this as, being there for someone when they need you most, certainly shifts the frame on the whole process. Thanks for listening today.
