Ep. 100 - 2020 Reflections - Creating your Word, Color and Archetype of the year!
Tired of the same BS New Years goal setting tools?Saaaaame.Use these FUN tips and tools to get you ushering 2020 out with grace and welcoming in 2021 with abundance!>>To let go of 2020First - reflect. Go through your 2020 calendar and journal. Pick out accomplishments, lessons, highs and lows. Take a breath. It’s easy to be super down on 2020, but it did give perspective on how everything can change in a minute. Let's make this next minute change for the better.Do a physical clearing. Donate / pitch worn out, broken things. Go through receipts, paperwork - recycle and shred it. Clear your kitchen table, countertops, desk, purse, backpack.Vacuum, dust, clean sheets and towels.Open doors / windows. Release stagnant energy.End the year on a high note - I used to always party, get drunk and stay up too late. Now, I get to bed and am 100% ready to welcome in next year with a clear head and fresh start.>>To welcome in 2021I do 4 things.First, I set my archetype / alter ego. Think Mariah Carey's Mimi or Jennifer Lopez's Lola. The Alter Ego Effect is a great read for this! I tap into this image to channel my higher self. This year it's The Queen of Wands. I have the card on my desk and bought a crown to put in my office as a visual reminder.Then, a focus word. What word makes you go "hell yes!"? For me it’s AUDACITY. I made it a wallpaper on my phone / computer as a reminder to be audacious.I then pick a color. For me it's royal blue. I bought new bath towels, have a few lapis lazuli crystals on my desk, and bought pens with royal blue ink.See how all three tie together? You don't have to do that but it can strengthen each one if you do!Last, I write down what my BEST 2021 will look like. It's a mix of things, feelings, experiences. Each morning I read this before getting out of bed - the trick is to really FEEL it.Set intentions and leave space for magic to happen. Give yourself permission to adapt as the year evolves. Keep your alter ego / color / word as a focus. The kiddos are in school, a new routine (even if it’s a clusterfuck) has formed and energy is shifting. Fall mimics the Luteal phase of our menstrual cycle - which is a natural time to slow down, tie up loose ends and be as prepared as possible for the nesting and down season that is Winter.
