"Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm."   – Winston Churchill   The Heart that Heals Itself: Discovering Emotional Riches through Meditations & Reflections is an inspirational book and guide, written by Toronto psychiatrist Dr. Tina Chadda. She wrote this book as a result of her own need to find something to help her heal and transform after facing personal challenges.   She and her family lost their home from a gas explosion. She barely escaped with two of her four children who were at home at the time. Shortly after, she learned her husband was diagnosed with cancer. As well the family faced a lengthy battle with the insurance and energy companies for compensation while living in temporary homes. It was then that she realized she needed something more to hold onto, even though she was a professional therapist. That’s when Tina started writing inspirational notes to herself, started to meditate, and began the practice of mindfulness and self-healing.
