President Obama and his family just started their annual vacation to Hawaii.  This year it is almost 3 weeks long and will cost taxpayers in the neighborhood of $1.6 million.  But in this podcast, Dan Lovallo makes the case why the president needs to return from Hawaii to attend the funerals of the two New York City police officers who were shot to death Saturday afternoon by a lone gunman, claimed to have been protesting the Michael Brown and Eric Garner deaths.

The suspension of well-known conservative professor John McAdams by Marquette University is drawing a protest from Turning Point USA.  The group believes McAdams was suspended for defending a student's right to free speech in an issue that involved gay rights.  Stephanie Conway, of TPA, joins host Dan Lovallo to talk about why her group views this as a free speech issue and why McAdams should not be suspended. 

The Rev. Kenn Blanchard of 'Black Man With A Gun,' makes a return visit to Conservative On Fire talking to host Dan Lovallo about race relations in the U.S.A.  The Rev. Blanchard shares his wisdom on Ferguson, Eric Garner and more.

There was a big Clinton reunion in Little Rock, AK over the weekend.  The gathering was not only a chance to reunite former Clintonites from President Clinton's administration, but an opportunity to assess a presidential run for Hillary Clinton.  Then there is the chance another Bush could run for the White House. Dan Lovallo analyzes all of this, in addition to talking about the operatives who would be part of another Clinton presidential campaign.

Tuesday, Nov. 4 election results are a major repudiation of not only President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton as well.  Now the Republicans need to wield power the way the Democrats would, had they taken over Congress.  Dan Lovallo talks about this and how the media is already in the tank for Democrats looking ahead to 2016. 

Turning Point USA is going on college campuses to convince young voters that voting the liberal agenda is a hinderance.  As part of a 10-part education series, many young voters are understanding that Big Government Sucks.  Stephanie Conway of Turning Point USA makes a return visit to update Conservative On Fire listeners on the effort to education voters on college campuses. 

In his 60 Minutes interview with Steve Croft, President Obama threw his intelligence community under the bus, blaming them for the failure to determine the strength of the terrorist group ISSL.  Now, Dan Lovallo speculates the intelligence community is about to return the favor.

The EPA under secretary Gina McCarthy could put some small businesses out of business if it overreaches on its executive orders, involving the Clean Water Act.  Republicans in the U.S. House are trying to stop this.  I talk about this with Andy Markowski of the National Federation of Independent Business.

The latest New York Times/ CBS News poll does not bode well for the Democrats.  Host Dan Lovallo delves into the numbers and explains why Democrats in Congress, seeking re-election, could be in troube.

Are members of Congress overpaid?  That's the consensus in a report compiled by the Taxpayers Protection Alliance.  David Williams, president of the alliance, joins host Dan Lovallo to talk about the generous salaries and benefits received by senators and representatives on this edition of Conservative On Fire. 

Hans Bader is a senior attorney at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He talked to me about how an executive order from President Barack Obama, drove a company that manages campgrounds across the country, away from government contracts.  His example illustrates what happens, when government gets involved, and it is usually not for the better. 

While the world implodes, the left is continuing its politics of distraction.  The latest target?  Food labels.  Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Rep. Rosa DeLauro, liberals from Connecticut, are on a crusade to make food labels more understandable.  They say we are reading food labels more, but apparently those food labels are just not understandable or are not including all of the ingredients in a product, like marijuana. They want the FDA to do something about it.  Conservative On Fire says there are more important things are elected officials should be worried about, instead of whether sugar should be calculated in grams or teaspoons.

Stephanie Conway of Turning Point USA talks to Conservative On Fire about a movement to be launched on college campuses across the USA entitled "BIG GOVERNMENT SUCKS!"  The movement by Turning Point USA is designed to educate students on how big government is putting students in debt before they even graduate college. 

U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro is proposing a soda tax of one penny for every teaspoon of sugar in a soda.  The says the increase in diabetes, heart disease and more illnesses are the result of sugary drinks.  But is this more of the nanny state and big government telling us how to live our lives?  That just some of Dan Lovallo's commentary on the issue. 

By all accounts, Connecticut is a deep blue state, with every member of Congress from the Democrat Party.  Democrats also dominate state politics.  Is the scenario changing?  A conservative candidate running for Congress in the state's 5th District, Mark Greenberg, is giving the first-term incumbent Democrat, Elizabeth Esty, a run for her money in the mid-term elections.

Unless the public speaks out soon, the cigar industry could undergo massive change, thanks to regulations imposed by the Food and Drug Administration.  In 2009, Congress, with both chambers led by Democrats, and a Democrat president, gave the F.D.A. more power to regulate tobacco.  Now the government body is targeting the cigar industry and the result could put many out of business. 

Have you noticed that the Democrats are not talking about the economic recovery or Obamacare?  That's because both policies are major failures.  So in this new age era of politics, led by Connecticut U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, the Democrats are manufacturing issues to distract the American public and motivate their base for the November mid-term elections.  It's the politics of distraction.
