Episode 137: How To Reduce Your Internal Toxic Load with Kelly Bonanno
Here’s a shocking statistic:  There are over 80,000 chemicals out there in commerce. Less than 20% of those have been tested for safety and only 19 of those are banned by the government. How about this one:  in 1999 the rate of Autism was 1 out of 3,000 births. Today that has risen to 1 out of 60 births. What’s the reason? Kelly Bonanno is an eco-friendly lifestyle wellness coach that helps families, individuals and business go green and improve their health by reducing their toxic load, balancing sugar levels and releasing unwanted weight. She also managing a very active community called “Savvy Girl’s Organic World Group” on Facebook. ** ANNOUNCEMENT:  Kelly is hosting a LIVE EVENT on April 26th and April 28th 2019 | Conejo Collective Day of Wellness at the Beacon Wellness Center in Westlake Village ** Check her out at:  www.KellyBonanno.com. She has a FREE guide of 10 easy step to implement into your life and home on her site. Take advantage of that. FREE STUFF? P.S. Linda is really amazing. And so nice to listen to. She has found a really useful and needed niche in the personal coaching arena. The stories that don’t deliver a good result for you. The lies we tell ourselves. Linda looks at all of that, combing not only life and work, but bringing in a very important third component of body. Looking at health and fitness habits and how those relate. Check out Linda at:  www.UltimateYou-Coaching.com. FREE STUFF? P.S. Episode 133: 101 North Eatery and Bar with Owners Chef Anthony Alaimo and Jeff Helfer
I love to cook. I am probably a 2 out of 10 when it comes to quality, but I still love to cook. But, when I stepped into the restaurant 101 NORTH EATERY AND BAR in Westlake Village for the first time, it blew my socks off. This was whole other level of cooking. The quality of ingredients. The care taken on each inch of the plate.  The scale of quality cooking on my little best out of 10 scale moved to a best out of 100 scale. And Chef Anthony Alaimo and co-owner Jeff Helfer are 150 out of 100! You can taste the extraordinary freshness of the ingredients, the cocktails, every morsel of this place. I’ve personally been here many times now and I can honestly say, being able to “devour” this menu developed by this Michelin Star rated Chef is something extraordinary and a blessing for our community. Check them out at www.101NorthEateryandBar.com. They are also expanding at this location to bring the community a place for parties, banquets, small plates and a place to hang out after dinner.             FREE STUFF? P.S. Episode 131: How To Focus Like Warren Buffett
I watched a documentary on Warren Buffett the other night on HBO. [I tried to put a link to the doc here for you, but kept getting an error message] I’ve done a tremendous amount of research on Warren Buffett. Most while collaborating on our book – which is based on his philosophy, What I didn’t know is all the nooks and crannies of his life. That’s when I became riveted. Not what he owns or how much he’s worth.  It’s the stories. Many years ago I assumed he was just an incredibly smart investment guy, worth a gazillion dollars. What I didn’t know is how he got there. And how he continues to be there. For instance, did you know he was married to Susan Buffett from 1952 until her death in 2004, but Buffett spent many years living with another woman named Astrid Menks? While living with Astrid and still married, Susan ran his charitable foundation and they got together often. They were all great friends. But there’s another tidbit that has consumed me. It’s his intense mindset that permeates every aspect of his life. From billion dollar investments to the smallest of expenses. Doesn’t matter to him. It’s all a mental game. He has his rules and never strays from them. No matter what. Illustrated by his daily breakfast choice. On his five minute drive to the office, from the same home he’s owned since 1958, he stops at McDonald’s for breakfast. The key to those mornings is whether he orders just a plain egg McMuffin ($2.61), the classic Canadian bacon McMuffin ($2.95), or the Sausage McMuffin ($3.17). It all depends. If the market is down that morning, he’ll opt for the cheaper egg only McMuffin. If things are going well financially, he’ll go for the full on Sausage McMuffin. If it’s a lukewarm day in the market, he’ll buy the middle of the road McMuffin. All very calculated and important to him. He decides on this well before he leaves the house. Once decided, Astrid will put exact change in a styrofoam cup, which he takes in the car on his way to the McDonald’s drive through. It takes a singular focused guy to be like this. I get off track every 10 minutes. A call. An email. A text. Something that robs me of my attention. I have to stop doing that. Oddly enough this is the point of a book I’m reading called Deep Work, by Cal Newport. Where he says, “Who you are, what you think, feel, and do, what you love – is the sum of what you focus on.” I’m so envious of Buffett. Not because of his wealth. But with his ability to laser focus on a mental state and remain in that state under all circumstances. It feels like an impossible task for me, but I have to change that. I say this as I run out to grab an overpriced $15 sandwich at the deli. I’m still learning! FREE STUFF? P.S. Episode 130: How Eddie Lorin Transforms Neglected Properties Into Thriving Communities
Eddie Lorin’s father passed away when he was only 10 months old and his mother later when he was 17 years old, just leaving for college. His mother raised him and his 3 brothers alone, where they lived in a small home together, with little means. His mother always told them “you can be poor, but you have to be clean.” When Eddie entered the world many years ago, he had the vision and dedicated himself to transforming neglected apartment properties into amazing thriving communities, which the residents can be proud to live in. Now a 30 year vet in the industry, Eddie’s group at Strategic Realty Capital purchases residential properties that are primarily rented by “workforce housing” folks that make a certain percentage of the medium income in that area. They then bring amazing amenities to the property, resort style pools, fitness centers, community gathering areas, and fixes any problems at the property. And they don’t stop there. Eddie and his wife Jane formed a non-profit company called Healthy Apartment Property Initiative (HAPI), which brings various health and wellness programs to the residents of the community. Teaching how to live a healthy lifestyle. Reach out to Eddie with any questions or opportunities here. Click here to learn more about their amazing HAPI Foundation. FREE STUFF? P.S. Episode 121: Psychic Medium Monica Teurlings Shares Her Amazing & Rare Abilities and Who Helps Her On The Other Side
ON THIS EPISODE On this weeks episode we have the gifted Psychic Medium Monica Teurlings. Monica opens up on how she developed her spiritual ability. Her personal journey will make your arm hairs rise instantly. Monica always had a way of connecting to people’s energy but it wasn’t until her ex husband’s passing when she realized this connection ran deeper. One day the phone rang and the call was for her younger son. As she told her son to pick up the phone in the other room, Monica heard a loud static noise. She continued to stay on the phone to see if the noise would clear but instead through all the muffling she heard her ex husbands voice, “Hey buddy, are you watching the game”. Her son was in fact watching the USC Football game at that moment which was a ritual he and his father shared. The interesting part is that her son did not hear any of this, the muffling sound or his father’s voice. Monica nearly fainted. This miracle took off. She started to become drawn to objects, having conversations in her head and always felt a presence of someone. She never feels alone. Monica will be hosting a 1 day Seminar October 6th at the Palm Gardens Hotel from 9am to 5pm. She will be giving insight on how you know the universe is speaking to you, how to react and connect to happiness along with many other special healing tools. She will also be hosting a live reading with three other Mediums on October 27th at the Palm Gardens Hotel from 7:00pm-8:30pm. Don’t miss out on the life changing event. See who might reach out to you! Episode 119: You Need To Play Golf – with Phil Bough, Exec Dir of the Upcoming Invesco QQQ PGA Golf Championship at Sherwood Country Club CA
ON THIS EPISODE On this weeks episode, we sit down with golf expert Phil Bough who is the executive director of the upcoming Invesco QQQ PGA Golf Championship event tournament at Sherwood Country Club. Phil lets us in on which ultimate legends will be participating in the event. In this particular PGA’s Tournament, the professionals must be at least 50 years old. Sherwood Country club has been giving back to the community since the tournament began. A portion of the proceeds from the Invesco QQQ Championship will support the Sherwood Cares Foundation as well as The First Tee of Los Angeles. When Phil moved to the states from London, he came across a national charity called The First Tee. It is an organization for less fortunate children that teaches valuable life lessons to kids while exposing them to the game of golf. The children learn core values like honesty, respect and sportsmanship. Phil’s passion and drive to help others shined through as he grew a 10,000 person program to a 100,000 person organization. Golf not only helps children but it helps all ages. Listen in to hear Phil tell us the 3 more important benefits that come from golf. He also mentions it takes less than a second to execute a swing. But most incredible information he supplied us with was that the professionals are swinging clubs at 115 miles per hour. Find out if it’s all true at the event!
