Today’s topic is very near and dear to my heart because today, we’re talking about leadership - which is what I teach on a daily basis to my client as well as internationally as a Women’s Leadership Coach and Speaker. Here’s the thing, today we’re going to be talking about leadership from a completely different yet refreshing perspective. As you know, I’ve said many times that leadership to me isn’t just about securing senior positions in companies. It’s really about an inside out approach where we do an inner and transformative work on ourselves as an ongoing practice so we can get connected to who we truly are and bring out what we find within as leaders. This is how we differentiate ourselves in the market place, this is how we make an impact in the world and this is how we grow as power leaders in every aspect of our lives.  We’re now at an important time to recognise that the way things are going in the world isn’t working. This is the time women are being called to step up in the world. This isn’t about a feminist movement, this is about recognising the feminine aspect we, both men and women, have within us.  This is about tapping into our emotional intelligence and not just about getting the task done. This is about bringing people along on our journey as a collective and no longer about being individualistic. This is about creating that balance again in the world. Because in order for us to become a conscious leader, we need to be a conscious person. And to be a conscious person, we need to do the inner work. “Listen to the silent pull of what you truly love"​  This podcast is special because I’m editing this podcast while Im right in the middle of the amazon jungle where I travelled 40 hours by plane, by land transport, by boat in the amazon river and Im here spending time with the shamans to do deep inner work. I’m your host, Arabelle Yee and this is episode #21. Today we’re going to be talking about how to deal with people who want your services cheap. This is such a great topic and this is something that many people are experiencing on a daily basis especially when they’re starting out. So I’m going to give you a few tips and tricks that you can implement so you don’t have to deal with them anymore.    But before we talk about that, if you’ve been listening to my podcast, you’ll notice that I’m changing things up a little bit. Previously my podcasts are only about interviews with successful entrepreneurs, thought leaders and change makers and then I thought, I’ve got so much share and with the number of people downloading and listening, it’s time for me to step up and share my message. I’ve been doing workshops and speaking engagements but then what about for those who aren’t in Australia?   And with the new year coming, let’s kick off something new here and I’m so excited with everything I’m going to be sharing with you. At the end of the day, this is what I teach to my coaching clients, to step out of their comfort zone and share their message.   So let’s talk about how to deal with people who want your services cheap.    I used to have so many people come to me for my help and they bargained like they were buying cheap handbags. I didn’t understand what was going on. I’d get angry, annoyed and disappointed. And then I realised what was going on.    So there are a couple of limiting beliefs that were blocking me to charge.    The first one is - I didn’t believe that I deserve that money. That was when I was starting out so I felt like I wasn’t enough. I needed to get more certifications. I needed to do more pro-bono work because I wasn’t experienced enough. Does that sound familiar? I know someone who made a decision that she was going to offer her services to 100 people for free before she feels qualified enough to charge. Somehow, that belief was subconsciously communicated when you talk to your clients.

What’s the secret to make a million dollar in your first year of business?    My guest today Kimra Luna is a Personal Branding and Online Strategist. She went from living on government welfare to making nearly a million dollar in her first year of business.    Behind every success stories, there’s always a lot of work that we don’t see; failures, trial, errors and major lessons learned. That’s what Kimra did. But I see so many people using it the wrong way.   I’m one of them when it comes to LinkedIn!   LinkedIn is a personal branding platform and when use it right, there are many case studies where people have generated income from that very platform.
