The Swedish Model for Covid-19 with Dr. Gilbert Berdine
What does free-market healthcare look like? Is the US a good example of private healthcare? Why are costs astronomically high? Why did governments in the US and around the world not pay more attention to Sweden's approach to Covid-19?These are some of the questions I wanted to know during my conversation with Dr. Gilbert Berdine, a Harvard trained internist and pulmonologist. Dr. Gilbert Berdine has a very unique mix of being a practicing physician and professor, along with a deep understanding of Austrian economics. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and an affiliate of the Free Market Institute at Texas Tech University. To read his recent article on Why Americans Should Adopt the Sweden Model on Covid-19, follow this link: https://mises.org/wire/why-americans-should-adopt-sweden-model-covid-19For more podcasts, please visit the Coker's Chronicles website at https://www.shaycoker.com/ and follow me on Twitter at https://twitter.com/shaycoker

John Tamny on the Future of Office Buildings
I had a fun conversation with John Tamny today regarding the future of offices, China, Hong Kong, manufacturing, lockdowns, and much more. My line of questioning was all over the place, but John did a great a job adapting. His answers were profound, complete, and he made a strong argument for continued progress and innovation in places like China and the US - with the corporate office serving as the meeting place and center of production.John is the Editor of RealClearMarkets, a longtime Forbes contributor, Vice President at FreedomWorks, and a senior economic adviser to Toreador Research and Trading (www.trtadvisors.com). His new book is titled They're Both Wrong: A Policy Guide for America's Frustrated Independent Thinkers. Other books by Tamny include The End of Work, about the exciting growth of jobs more and more of us love, Who Needs the Fed? and Popular Economics.

Stephen Berliner on Tennis and NY Real Estate
I had a good chat today with someone I really admire, Vice Chairman of Savills North America, Steve Berliner. Not only is he a fabulous tennis player who trained with John McEnroe as a junior and went on to win multiple medals for the USA at the Maccabiah Games, but he is a highly successful commercial real estate advisor and leader. Plus, he's a great guy.Steve talked about his tennis and professional background and gave some valuable insight on the future of the Manhattan real estate market. He worked across the street from the World Trade Center in New York during the terrorist attacks in 2001 and describes how the city has grown and developed since then. He is optimistic on the future of his city and country.Follow me on Twitter: @shaycokerIf you liked the podcast, please give it a 5 star review and share it with your friends. Thanks!
