Hey, girl, welcome to a new episode of Coffee Jeans & Jesus. This is Micaela Oh, my goodness, it has been so long. I feel like it's been forever since I was here with you. The last episode I aired was in January. I stopped recording because God was calling me in a new direction.  It’s beautiful when you start to really walk in obedience to God. He begins to open doors for you. If you know that God is calling you to do something bigger than yourself, something that sounds crazy to you, let me just encourage you do what He is calling you to do. Take the baby steps to do it, because there is nothing better than being obedient to Him. And look, it's hard. When you decide that you're going to actually say, okay, God, I'm going to be obedient to what you have called me to do. It might sound crazy to others. It might seem like wait, where did this come from? But look, trust what God is telling you trust what He is putting on your heart.  On this episode, I have a question for you. I want to know what does worship mean to you? Does it mean that you can't wait for the worship to start when you to church? You can't wait to get in the spirit and start worshiping God and thanking Him for what He's done? What does it mean to you to worship? Is it like driving in your car and putting your worship music on? What does it really mean?  Worship means reverence, offered a divine being or supernatural power. So, the thing about worship, is that you're offering reverence to God, right? But here's my question for you. Do you only worship Him when things are going wrong? Do you only worship him on Sundays at service? When you think about Jesus literally laying down His life for you so that you could have freedom, how could you only worship Him when things are going wrong? Hey friends, welcome to another episode of Coffee Jeans & Jesus! This week's episode is a little different. On this episode I talk about God taking us into new seasons, and sometimes God calls us into something new. Sometimes God challenges us to go out there and pursue what He has placed on our heart. I like to think of it as a stairs. You climb one stair to get to the next, and finally you get to the top of the staircase. We set out to do something, but often times that is just preparing us for the next thing that God has for us.On this episode I share a sweet message that was sent to me by a wonderful woman, and I share what God has been putting on my heart. Ever since I gave my life to Jesus, I knew that I was called to reach the girls that didn't know Him, the girls who are like I was, searching for something more. Hey friends, so happy to have you back at the virtual coffee table!  You're in for a treat, today my brother Lupe Alva and I discuss what happens when you miss the blessing from your parents. The Blessing is a book by John Trent and and Gary Smalley, if you have the updated version you will also see Kari Trent Stageberg on the cover. This book really dives deep into understanding your self-worth, and also preparing your children for positive future relationships, and that includes their relationship with God. It is deeply rooted in scripture, and focuses on five essential elements; a meaningful touch, a spoken message, attaching high value, picturing a special future, and an active commitment. If you are a parent this book is definitely a must! If you come from a broken home, this book is going to give you a lot of insight into your view of relationships, and life. Lupe and I talk about how growing up in a broken home shifted our view of God and people, but also how God has the power to heal, restore, and break the curse of not receiving or giving the blessing in our own family. If you have been questioning why you react a certain way, why your childhood was a certain way, and even why you react in certain ways, this episode is going to encourage you.
